I have a crochet plushie that was hand made by a friend that is no longer around. We had been friends for around 2 years. We both a lot of things we needed to work out and she moved on faster than me. She said she had feelings for me but her actions were speaking louder than her words. She would act like everything is ok, but when I make plans with her she would “Forget” and wouldn’t text me.
She then would have this whole thing where she’s like well, I forgot I’m sorry lol do you wanna hang out now? I didn’t believe her the first time I gave her two more chances and she did it to me twice. She didn’t latched on to someone else only after a month or two. Then that person did the exact same thing she did to me to them. I stood with her through it only to need another right cause I was having conflicted feeling still. And I came back. She did someone else and acted like she didn’t this time but I could tell that she did.
So when she did this to me the third time I knew I had to leave. I knew this was not healthy for me or her. but last Christmas or the Christmas before she gave me a really meaningful gift it was it was my favorite character in Valorant. And I don’t know what to do with it? Check throw it away should I donate it? I don’t know what to do with it.
TL;DR: what should I do with a gift from a failed friendship that was almost more? I really don’t know what to do with it.
