I got a DUI when I was 19. I am now 32 years old, have never been arrested again, and have had continuous employment for the last 11 years. Would my DUI prevent me from being hired?
33 yrs old, with a 13 year old dui arrest

Not everywhere. If you can show you’ve changed you should be okay at a lot of places.
Time heals everything. And depends on the agency/department. Try it
Most places no
Bro some cops even get promoted for them personally getting a DUI. Go out and apply, I think you have solid chance. That was so long ago and you have clearly matured.
Most places require 5 yrs since last DUI, so you good.
Most likely won’t prevent you from getting a job in LEO if you are upfront about the DUI.
Some places probably, but not everywhere and probably not at most departments.
Some places may DQ you, but you are still hireable. We have very good officers with much worse past trouble than that.
I got a dui at 22, i applied and got into academy at 32, for highway patrol nonetheless, obviously they werent thrilled about it, but i also didnt get so much as a traffic citation since the dui.
Fun fact: i got the highest score in my cadet class for dui report writing.
Think you’re ok
