It’s not like there was something cool going on here that is being erased.

  2. NotConsistentCalc Avatar

I wish I could report every single one of those posts, or that there could be a rule advising to put a pause on such posts similar to when COVID hit 5 years ago.

  3. SteveFoerster Avatar

I find them tedious, but people seem to participate in them, so… ¯_(ツ)_/¯

  4. Thatsaclevername Avatar

It’s incredibly boring, because it’s just karma farming, and it’s not like there isn’t a legion of political subs where they could be posting these things.

  5. Dr-DDT Avatar

    Downvote and move on.

  6. FakeLikeYou Avatar

LOL. Nailed it. Shit is stupid and they never answer when I call them out.

  7. OneArmedBrain Avatar

Perhaps we should refill it with questions about everyones favorite pornstar or other stupid shit like that?

  8. catinreverse Avatar

People can ask what they want. If you don’t like it you should post content you do like.

It’s true, we should have more of the – my entitled sister wants me to raise her 6 children for a year ( plus her three dogs) , but I don’t want to. My parents want me to do it because “family helps family” posts.

I want a rule here that bans obnoxious leading questions even if the ideology behind it is something I support. Because it always makes me cringe seeing these “push poll” type questions, it’s naked engagement farming from either bots or narcissistic freaks. Questions should be as fair as possible, and I genuinely think it’s rude and bad behavior to blatantly push an agenda. This is not the subreddit for activism or at least it should not be. But there appears to be very limited moderation, or the mods support push-polling as long as it’s anti-Trump. I too am anti-Trump but these cringe questions do slightly more harm than good and constantly clutter my feed

“how do you feel about elon musk killing a kid?”

  12. bdschuler Avatar

I think reading them is interesting to see what other Americans think. But I can understand most people are tired of it and want to go back to hard hitting questions like asking if Chocolate is better than Peanut butter or what our thoughts are about Onions.

But overall.. I think if the internet has enough space to store Crypto bros conning people to buy their latest ripoff coin ever day.. it has space for another Askreddit about politics. If you don’t want to see them.. then just don’t click on them. The world is turning into a world full of whiners.

Tbh this subs been a cesspool of bad questions before this started happening. You see the same questions asked every day, if not numerous times every day. Don’t even get me started on the weird sex questions either.

  14. 853fisher Avatar

I think I need to stop clicking on them, even just to roll my eyes, because I’m teaching the algorithm that it’s what will get my attention.

  15. Calm-Radio2154 Avatar

Reddit has an American liberal bias. Get over it.

  16. my_13_yo_self Avatar

    I think you’re a delicate snowflake. Don’t want? Don’t click.

  17. Searchlights Avatar

I think it’s more interesting than endless variations of the same sex questions.

  18. wemustkungfufight Avatar

Instead of bitching post something else.

  19. Remarkable_Art2618 Avatar

It’s tiresome. Most Redditors are Dems so it’s just a big echo chamber.

  20. nakfoor Avatar

    Highly masturbatory.

  21. MysteryRadish Avatar

Doesn’t really bother me at all, considering the alternative is mostly “please post something I can wank to” sex questions or ultra-mundane stuff like asking about pizza toppings.

  22. jkoki088 Avatar

    Reddit is unfortunately a cesspool

  23. Bearly_Legible Avatar

I think it shows the questions have gotten less stupid and nonsensical.

  24. Ralph-Kramden Avatar

I think you just described EVERY sub on Reddit, from R/Abacus to R/Zoology. Some people apparently think of nothing else, which seems to be some type of R/mental illness. About to delete the app and head down to the Raccoon Lodge for some fellowship and billiards. Reddit needs to figure this out; if they don’t, I’m guessing our lodge membership will soar.

Your own feelings are betrayed in the subject.

I think the US government is one of the most imfluential and powerful organizations in the history of mankind. I think the current administration’s unhinged actions should be of concern to all Earthlings and not just citizens of the US.

Buy I also think this is one of the dumber places to address those concerns.

  26. midnight-on-the-sun Avatar

You can click on it or don’t click on it.

  27. blamemeididit Avatar

“Americans, how do you feel about your idiotic decision and knowing the rest of the world hates you?”

Yeah, never get’s old at all.

  28. InsertBluescreenHere Avatar

Better than my states sub that constantly sucks off the multi billionaire goveoners dick with paid shills and bots.

  29. palinsafterbirth Avatar

Part of me thinks it’s karma farming, another part thinks it’s actually those voters or non voters who thought Trump or Project 2025 wasn’t going to do what it said it was going to do
