How many people do you text on a regular basis?

Pretty much no one.
Unfortunately the older I grew the less I did it because I felt like I am the one who always initiated contact. I get an occasional text from family or from one or two friends but that’s about it.
I tend to not text people much anymore.
Between zero and five daily
On a weekly basis, I’d say 4-5. Daily just 1.
I work through my phone, but outside of my work I get a million texts from my wife. Maybe a couple throughout the week from my brother and a good amount from my brother in law but otherwise zero. None from my friends growing up which sucks but a friendship goes both ways, I am not going to always be the one reaching out
A non-cynical answer is 5-10, depending. 2 meme group chats with 3 different people each. The girl. And depending on what’s going on that day I’ll text work peeps or others individually. “Every” day texters is 7, but it can get higher if it’s a busy day.
Edit: oh yeah and the fam chat but I mostly just listen there
The only time I’m texting anyone is to coordinate when I’m going home to see my family. Extra points if my brother is going home at the same time and we’re catching the same train.
0 on a regular basis. 10ish on an irregular basis (wife, other family, boss, coworkers).
I can go a few weeks between texts or do several a day
0, I only care about texts coming from my mom or sister.
One
I text my oldest son and wife daily. My brothers, friends 1-2 times a week.
Usually its just my wife, but sometimes my mom or dad will send me something’s
0
3
8 people this month via SMS. Half are work-related.
It used to be 3.
About 3-4 A day? I’m in a few group chats which are mostly silent, but in one of them is daily activity to some extent. And i’ll always text my best mate and there’s a woman i’m talking to who i always text, and my mom always messages me.
If it wasn’t for group chats i would only text my mom and my sister on a regular basis. I’m in so many group chats that it’s so convenient for me to keep up with people and not say a word. They’re always plans being made and all i say is if I’m going or not, it’s usually No.
4
Maybe 2 sporadically.
0
I’ll call them or meet them in person.
Family group chat (not really individuals), and the wife, most days
About 2 – 3
About once a week or two I text my friends, but that’s about it really
0
Now only my family, before it was them plus my ex
Fiancée
Best friend
Mom
2nd best friend
My mother (not by choice), and 2 of my siblings, so that’s 3. My 2 friends that live near me, 5. Our group text of friends far away / still near our hometown, 10, plus my buddy who just moved away, but we still talk football all the time, 11.
4, mom, dad and two of my friends
The one and only person who uses my phone for phone functions is my dad.
Every single other person in my life, including my wife, communicates with me in some other way.
Zeeeeeroooo
Only my girlfriend really
Two, my best friend and my mom sometimes sends a good morning text. If I’m lucky my son sends me YouTube videos during the day.
7-10
my wife, both our kids, group chats with other family and friends
A few

This thread is why men’s mental health is shit. Yall need to find some circles or people to talk to. Isolation is probably the highest risk factors for suicidal behavior.
1 frequently sometimes 2. Friends I’ve known since high school. Other than that nobody else
Personally text on a weekly basis – less than 10.. Off the top of my head, my wife, mom, dad, sister, MIL, SIL, BIL. (not necessarily individually, mostly group texts) and like.. my one friend.
Work related on a weekly basis anywhere between 30-80 individuals. (I manage a large team)
Yes, it sucks. Yes it’s pretty much 24/7. Yes, on my personal phone. No my company does not provide a work phone nor compensate for me using my own line.
7
3-5
My wife and 2-3 of my guy friends. Coworkers when needed.
Older family all dead, my son and I talk and text once a month or so.
2
Around 10 or so. 3-4 family members, 5-6 friends.
Lets see, if I consider all the apps that have messaging…
Maybe like 14?
How regular? Like at least once a month, my dad, my sisters, and a couple of friends.
Almost daily – my mom. She has bad anxiety and I’m alright now, but have a lot of trauma that led to a lot of negative impulsive decisions, that I still make from time to time, just not as bad as before.
Like once a year, other friends and one of my cousins who will reply when he needs something.
Oh, I didn’t consider this texting, but I’m also in a benzodiazepine addiction recovery/support group where I talk to a few people that I’ve never met, but have known for a while, maybe once a month.
I feel like such a loner, but I’m married, and reading this thread makes me realize how fortunate I am.
I have 4 people I text regularily (like more than once a month)
Wife
Mom
2 friends
0 on the regular. 1-2 frequently
2 dad and sis
Nobody on a regular basis. There are a few people I could message if I needed to, but they’re busy with their families so I don’t usually bother them.
Group chat of three close friends. Immediate family. And the occasional extended family member of trying to coordinate a lunch or something.
uhmmmm I sense that your question is flawed.
I text my friends, family, people at work, the bus system in NYC…. in total I text a lot of people.. dunno, 100 or so?
Is this the type of answer you were looking for?
zero
I usually only text my wife and my mom and occasionally my sister, but lately it’s been a lot of dudes because I started posting content of my wife on my reddit page.
2-3. I was that texting guy from 13-18yo. Then I use it as a intermediary to get along with people in person, connection is real and more authentic. Less games.
I text you and then we meet, we text, and we meet.

About a dozen.
0 daily unless “drinking and dialing” but a couple weekly
