Stuck with people I don’t want to be around.
By accident, caffeine addiction and weed are totally fine.
On purpose.. I like to think i’m reminding some folks that manners exist and cost nothing. Littering is a bad thing and putting it in a trash can is easy.
I am trying to build the reputation of having character. To me, nothing else is more important.
I take accountability and responsibility for my decisions, my actions, and my reactions/responses to life’s events.
And I remind other people of the same, that they have Agency. And they often get pissed at me, and I DGAF.
On accident, you can be the better version of yourself that you want to be, you just need to put in more effort. On purpose, Jesus himself beat up tax collectors. You don’t become less of a good person by stooping to their level, your motivations and moral limitations you place on yourself are what matter. Don’t let people chain you down by applying double standards to your person.
