Some people like having control while others are okay with letting go of control.
Some people value the way they perceive their time and thoughts and other people want to be distracted from their circumstances and thoughts.
Also, your logic is way too generic. “We all have the same brain with the same chemicals so why aren’t we all affected by everything in the same exact manner”.
Whatever direction the weed pushes your mood and mind, you have an intellect and world view and baseline emotions, moral and ethical systems, and you will naturally push back against or go with the flow with whatever the mood/mind alteration is.
When I was with people I didn’t trust/like, I would feel anxious and become an asshole. But when I was with good friends, or with what seemed like super cool people I just met, I feel super relaxed, happy, and sociable.
It depends on a lot of factors, like who you are with, where you are, what strain u smoked etc. But something i learned is that everyones brain works differently
The same person that felt weird today might feel perfect tomorrow.
Mood has a great role, quality/strain of the w and also big part that nobodys talks about is the company you have .. you need people that make you feel relaxed and free of thoughts.. judgmental and toxic enviroment can cause you stress
Literally one bad trip can ruin you on that sort of stuff forever if you have good babysitters for your first time you’re more likely to enjoy it in the future
There are physiological differences that translate into the same dose of thc being absorbed differently. People with lower bf % will get more high off the same amount of thc due to thc being fat soluble. People who drink less water will feel thc more intensely as it’s drained from the blood slower. People who eat a high fat diet tend to have better thc absorption. Not sure why this is the case, but I know it’s true, and is the reason why we bind thc to a fatty oil when making edibles. This is apparently due to fat’s slower digestion meaning the thc has more time to be processed into the blood before being excreted.
Another possibility is high levels of interoception. People with high levels of interoception are more aware of their physiological signals, and may be more aware of any changes in heartbeat due to thc intake. This can translate into anxiety for individuals that don’t deal with this well.
This is a great question. I think if you’ve got the basics locked down… job, partner, living situation then it’s a nice escape. The friends I’ve had who found it stressful were experiencing stress in an area of their life that needed attention. I’ve also had friends who respond differently depending on their status. So at one point they found it stressful and at other points joyful.
Different strains of Marijuana and mixtures can produce entirely different results.
Sativa produces a massive headache for me even with CBD.
Indica makes me too jittery and too stupid. I can’t function. It isn’t fun. But I do get moments of totally inconsequential genius so it can be fun once in awhile. But if I’ve had indica nobody would ever make the mistake of thinking I’m not completely out of my mind high.
Smoking via a bong causes me to have a panic attack and makes me think im having a heart attack for 4-5 hours.
Indica/cbd produce a sensation I can manage. This is my “fun” high. Edibles only.
People react to stimuli differently regardless of their brain chemicals. And chemical changes can affect everyone differently.
Its a very disassociative drug – and it’s also a very ‘enhancing’ drug. The slight change of mindset starts to consume you.
I always say, weed just amplifies whatever you were feeling before, but x10.
You were drunk before? Smoke some weed? Now you’re 10x more “drunk”
You were excited before and smoked some weed? Now youre over the moon.
You were sad because your pet died and then you smoke? Now you’re in a depression deeper than the mariana trench.
You were anxious about smoking because you werent sure how it was going to affect you – and now its affecting you?? Now you’re 10x more anxious.
A truly seasoned smoker knows all of this and still smokes anyway in the hopes that they get flooded with happy feelings – its not much different than an alcoholic hoping the alcohol makes them happy like it used to.

Everyone’s brain is different. Chemically and structurally.

I have found if I am home and in a safe place I’m fine with it, but I don’t go out in public cause then I feel paranoid and weird
🥰💗
I suppose it’s like how amphetamines are used to treat ADHD – has the opposite effect

It gives me panic attacks.

People’s brains are different and chemicals will have a different impact on different people.
Because different people have different responses to lots of drugs, weed is no different.
Also, we don’t all have “the same brain” the the impact can be very different.
I’ve noticed as you get older the less relaxed it makes you.
Indica vs sativa, different strains can have different effects. A strong indica will sometimes make me anxious while sativas relax me.
Not everyone responds to cannabinoids and terpenes in the same way. People have different amounts of receptors with different sensitivities.
Besides that, your mindset, setting, and general mental fortitude (willingness to surrender to the experience, etc.) all contribute.
As well as your method of consumption. Smoking, dab, concentrate, vape, dry herb vape, tincture, edible, cream, etc etc

I honestly think I have low level austism and for me it was fear of not being able to mask

Everyone is different and every strain is different. Sativas are usually the ones that cause anxiety.
