It’s my summer holidays, and I spend time either babysitting my brother or playing computer games and watching YT. Some memes or reddit voicers like The Click and several russian. My step-dad is telling that I’m just watching shit and do nothing, and I should watch more history and science videos and programes. He did not believe that I do it sometimes, because I tell “only shitty internet AI stories”
I like history, so it isn’t a big problem. I watched something about Vikings, ancient Rome, and… some WW2 facts.
Now, every time we talk with my stepdad, I do the “Did you know, Hitler…”/”Did you know, fascists…” thing. When he asks why, answer is “To prove that I watched it.”

NTA. You’re just trying to show your stepdad you actually watch history content. Maybe mix in other facts too so it doesn’t sound like you’re only focused on Hitler.
NTA, provided facts in historical context are not all pleasant. Though do mention the other historical topics that you have research in.
