Context, we’ve been together for 3 years now.

The other day I was at his place, and I was bored as he was doing his work. Context is he has a second phone as he’s a foreigner and had his home country mobile number on it. So I took his second phone and played around with it. The first thing I saw when I unlocked it was his WhatsApp and I noticed that he had used his first (and main) phone number to text his second phone number.

That felt a bit odd so I opened up the chat – lo and behold, I saw a bunch of TikTok links and some of them had previews of the videos sent. My blurred memory tells me it was a preview of a girl that’s all.

As I was about to click on one of them, he snatched his phone away and refused to give it back to me. Somehow he allowed me to take his first phone and I looked through his WhatsApp – no trace of the WhatsApp chat I had seen with his second phone. I went on to his TikTok and no trace either. I kept asking for his second phone but to no avail. Then he started saying things like “if you let this slide, it’ll never happen again.” Damn, that hit hard as it sounded like what one would say to their partner when they’d been caught cheating.

I started tearing as I told him to just tell me the truth and I’ll let it slide (stupid, I know). Told him even if it was just him watching naked girls, I’d be fine with it as long as he confessed. But he still refused. He begged me repeatedly with the same sentence “if you let this slide, it’ll never happen again.” Then it came to a point where he started sobbing like a baby ( yes he cried even when he was in the wrong 🤣) and smashed his phone on the ground so it wouldn’t switch on anymore.

I then gave him two options – tell me and I’ll let it slide, or we end things. I walked off and told him he had a week to think about it. Even after a week, he refused and begged me to just let it slide. I met up with him and asked him if it was really just him watching naked girls, he just agreed but it seemed like he had only done so bc it was a prompt? Like if it was just naked girls why would he be so afraid of me finding out? What can guys even do on tiktok?

We’ve ended things since over a different girl in school. Any idea what it could’ve been about? How do I ever figure out what actually happened? I’m so curious but he’ll never tell me….
