I think of that translucent ghost from Scooby-Doo, because it’s my first exposure to the word as a very young child. It feels like there aren’t really standard descriptions for most supernatural entities and cryptids, kind of by nature.
As in ghost? Sure there is. The prototypical phantom is a shadowy figure that is kind of fleeting so that you’re not actually sure they are there. Often depicted in dark and tattered robes.
