In high school, my class and I thought we were the kings of pranks. Our main target was our homeroom teacher, who was really strict but also kind of a pushover. We decided to pull the ultimate prank: we swapped out his usual coffee grounds with decaf and put laxatives in the pot. We thought it would be a harmless and hilarious way to get back at him for all the pop quizzes he gave us.
The next day, it was chaos. He had to leave the class multiple times, and he looked pale and miserable. We were all snickering, but then it got serious. He ended up having to go home sick and missed a couple of days of school. We later found out he had a medical condition that made the laxatives much more dangerous for him.
We were all called into the principal’s office, and we had to face the consequences. We never admitted what we did, but we all knew. I still feel guilty about it. It was supposed to be a joke, but we ended up hurting someone who was just trying to do his job. I regret what we did and I wish I could go back and tell him the truth, but I’m afraid to face the music.

Laxatives as a prank is not “harmless”
That’s a tough one. What started as a prank clearly crossed into harmful territory, and the guilt you feel shows you recognize that now. You can’t undo it, but you can own it by learning from it, never mess with someone’s health for a laugh. If the guilt still weighs on you, writing an anonymous letter of apology (even years later) might help you find some closure.
That is very twisted and inmature that u did that just bcs she gave yall pop quizes which is literally her job and dor ir benifit.

I don’t know how long ago this was, but if it’s been 10 or more years, I would find a way to get a hold of him and tell him you’re sorry. Worst case scenario, he cusses you out. Best case you both find a little closure. Likely be somewhere in the middle. Own your shit. You do that and you’ll be square with the world.
My dad had a classmate that kept threatening to jump out of a 4 story window in class. The teacher left for a bit so the kid opened the window then ran outside and laid outside the window in an unnatural position. The teacher almost had a heart attack 😭
