I am 18 and was born with spina bifida occulta, which causes paralysis from the waist down, causing me to lose all my functions. I was able to walk until I was 9 with the help of a walker, unfortunately I can’t anymore.
You can ask whatever you want,
I’m a boy who was born with spina bifida, ask me anything you want.

This may be a strange question but: Did you find any positives when it comes to having this paralysis? I know some disabled people find nice communities due to their conditions, I am curious if you found that and/or anything else.
Why could you walk until you were 9 but not now?
Has the lack of lower body mobility cause any health problems for the upper body like bloat, weight gain, etc
How does peeing and pooping work? Do you wear a diaper? Can you tell if you have to pee/poo or does it just happen?
Do you need help to use the restroom or can you do it by yourself?
I’ve always peein and poopin situation works for that.
