Hi everyone,
I’ll be turning 32 in a month, and since I come from an Indian background, I am under a lot of pressure from my family and extended relatives to have a baby. My husband (35) and I have been married for 4 years, and people keep saying I’m “already past 30” and that we’re delaying too much.
All my cousins on both sides had kids within the first two years of marriage, so the comparisons are endless. Some relatives have even started warning me that I might find it difficult to conceive later.
The thing is, my husband isn’t ready yet. We moved to a new country a few years ago and want to give ourselves more time before starting a family. But the constant pressure is making me feel anxious and conflicted.

You can’t really do anything about family other than ignoring them. If you’re not ready, you’re not ready. It’s you who will have to live with your decisions, not them.
