Rent quote changed after I gave landlords a $500 holding deposit

Location: SF
I looked and toured an apartment building and really liked it. I got a quote that day for $2,660 (in email) and proceeded to move quickly, get a cashier’s check of $500, and give it with a paper application within 48 hours. They then allowed me to access their online portal to apply. I applied and once credit checks and background checks went through I was cleared to rent. However the quoted rent now says $2,740 instead of the original.

Is there anything I can do to either get the original quote or get my holding fee back? Any advice is appreciated!
