My wife recently informed me that the tip jar at her work goes 100% to the GM. The GM in turn buys them desserts and drinks on occasion. I wasn’t aware of this, and I looked it up, what I found says this is illegal. My wife is also upset because she has a sever peanut allergy and can’t even eat the desserts from any bakery. That’s beside the point though. Since she works the register she feels she’s partially the reason they’re getting tipped anyways. Is there anything we can or should do about this? I’m generally one to avoid conflict, but this is annoying. Thanks in advance.
