Last year I tried to get back into running like I used to, did three days in a row wearing only cross trainers. This is after I got a bit fat, 235 at 5’10.
Gave myself Achilles tendinitis in both ankles, took a year to recover and still get pain on days I walk too far or after a big leg day
I have a torn rotator cuff. Happend on a rowing machine in January (just as a previous soft tissue injury there had apparently healed). Have been managing this since December of last year. Saw a physio recently and now am doing strengthening exercises. Very tedious and long lasting condition.
I separated both my shoulders grade 1 on the left grade 2 on the right playing football in high school and college and as a result I can no longer throw a baseball hard and have to be careful when doing heavy overhead lifts to
Not have pain. Also I’m sure at some point I’ll need spinal fusion in my neck. Sports are fun but you do t think about 40 when you’re playing
Man…. broken hands to dislocated shoulders to A/MCL injuries to blown discs to broken ribs that will forever hurt….the list goes on and on and on.
But, that’s life. Nobody cares, work hard and die in pain. lol
I’ve tweaked my back several times lifting, now have very mild sciatica. Tweaked my calf and hammy doing some plyo a few months back on the same side and those two injuries have teamed up to decimate me.
I just want to run, jump, lift, etc. but every time I feel like I’m in the clear enough to ramp up my intensity, bam, flare both up again and set myself back for weeks.
Do you know how hard it is to get a good cardio session in with one leg!? Additionally, going hard at the gym 5 days a week is 100% of my stress and anger management plan, I’m on the verge of going bonkers.
Arthritis in my feet. Had an injury when I was 20.
I need surgery to fix it but it will take 16 weeks of recovery time. When am I supposed to do that? I work a job, on my feet. Luckily, I live in the southwest, where there is no humidity. Arthritis is more manageable in low humidity
Both knees but the right knee is worse. Playing soccer in college, a player on the opposing team swung his leg at me knee making direct impact. I was screaming before I hit the ground. Orthopedic surgeon told me that he could operate and it would hurt for the rest of my life, or leave it alone and it will hurt for the rest of my life. Every day for almost 40 years I am reminded of that incident.
After 25 years of lifting, I have aches and pains all over. Knees, ankles, shoulders, back…… The two bigger issues at the moment.
Sciatica down right leg is usually a daily thing for me, symptoms started two years ago in contest prep for a show. Second, torn right bicep tendon was repaired two months ago, won’t be cleared to lift for another two months. ROM and everything is just garbage on that arm at the moment.

Every joint and muscle below my ear lobe and above the arches of me feet.

Something in my heel, doc thinks heel spur, feels like nerve issue to me. Been a year now
Strained my QL muscles whilst deadlifting over two years ago, haven’t deadlifted since. Can’t squat anymore either.
Just never fully recovered. 45M.

Slipped discs. L4-L5 and L5-S1. It’s a 15-year old injury but still flares up and I end up walking with a bit of a limp from the sciatica.
I’ve got a Stuart McGill book I need to read and should do his big three exercises more often honestly

Bad foot (result of a volleyball injury in 1985)
Bad thumb (result of arthritis mostly)
Bad elbow (result of dislocation in a 1988 softball game)
Otherwise I’m pretty good for my age.
I got shin splints in high school from running track/XC and they pop up every now and then in the extreme even during light jogging.
