My best friend passed a few years ago. Her friends and family are posting pictures of her on their stories with “Happy Birthday, miss you” captions. One picture set that they’re using is from her Instagram.
I remember when she took that pic and posted it. It’s at her secret boyfriend’s house, in his front yard. The background is blurred to hell because we thought someone would recognize the trees š we were all part of the same community and her bf was best friends with her older brother.
She had smoked a shit ton of marijuana with him. Later we met up. I remember reviewing her post, passing a blunt between us in her car, and trying to determine if she looked too high to post or if she could pass for sober. We were stoned and laughing our asses off. She looked damn good in it and just sober enough so it ended up passing.
Now they’re all posting it. I wonder if any of them know the story behind it? Lol. Definitely made the right call putting it out there cuz no one seems to suspect.
It was just kind of funny in an otherwise sad day.

My best friend died about 7 years ago (I refuse to keep track and I forget the exact date because itās too painful). I also rather celebrate her bday!

I’m sorry you are going through this. My friend passed away in front of me when we were on vacation together. She had a heart attack from mixing drugs. It has been three years since she passed, and I still think about her every day. I was watching a movie earlier and I was wishing that she could be next to me because she would have loved watching it. Grief gets easier, but it never stops. I’m sending you hugs. Stay strong and take care of yourself.

My bestieās birthday was this week as well and she passed last year. I spent the day remembering all the messed up stuff we used to as teens and young adults. Itās good to remember and laugh about our fun times over 30 years of friendship
My cousin (he was a really big stoner) passed away August 21, of this year, he was my brother actually, grew up together and smoked tons of weed, good moments and stuff. The other day I was watching his pictures and I can’t post or show most of them cuz he appears high af in almost every pic. I laugh a little bit in this sad moments. My oldest brother died 6 months after my 21st birthday, Almost 11 years ago now. Facebook still reminds me its his birthday. We never took his facebook down and always wish him “happy birthday” every year.
