On this, can we mute words? I want to mute something that I am afraid of. I’ve googled it but get instructions to places that I can’t find in my settings. Or it tells me it isn’t possible.
Same happens to me, I have literally no interest in football, and I keep telling it I’m not interested and it just sends me more crap. If you ever find out, let me know.
I know a lot of answers are to switch off recommendations, but I’m on board with recommendations as a concept. It’s just tiring getting so, so many football things.

Whatever you do, don’t comment on other subs telling people you don’t like football.

I have had the same thing too, in the end I got so sick of it I switched off the suggestions option.
Switch of recommendations.
The funny thing about the football recommendations is that they have rules about brigading.
Like, you can get banned from Reddit by point arsenal fans at the Tottenham sub.
But then Reddit itself always recommends me rival teams.

This is exactly the same for me. I get a Premiership news feed every single day, even though I have pressed “see fewer posts like this” several times.
The irony is I am a football fan, but I just don’t want it on here.
If you’re using the Reddit app you can disable recommendations by going to your app settings.
I was having this issue with places. I joined the sub for my home city so it started offering me Newcastle, Luton, Coventry, Bristol etc.
Bring all your subs on in the first half so you can’t have any more.

There’s literally zero need to ever use new reddit
Click the sub icon, then click the three dots on the top right, then select “mute r/ sub”, hope it’ll work for you🤔

Keep referring to Football as “Soccer”. The suggestions will stop.
If you have Ublock Origin, you can block them.
I’m so happy I’m not the only one.
Although I feel it’s worse for me because it’s non stop fantasy football…. Not even actual football., 😭
