ELI5: How can scientists rule out the possibility of a higher power when the explanation of the Big Bang is “the particles were already there?” Or “It’s beyond human comprehension”?

I’m not sure if the beyond human comprehension explanation is a world wide accepted one but my “clever” friends use that one when going down the “where did that come from?” then “well, where did that come from?” rabbit hole.
