I’m an international student studying abroad and its been extremely lonely, so I’ve been downloading different apps for making friends, such as bumble bff and yubo. For some reason, most of the people messaging me only ask for ‘snap’, which im guessing is short for snapchat? I was under the impression that people didn’t use snapchat anymore, so I’m just really confused? Is this a good thing or a bad thing, because I might download it if its something that can h*lp (censor because the subreddit wont let me) me with making friends.

Yeah snap just means snapchat. A lot of people still use it to chat casually and share quick updates especially younger crowds. If you’re comfortable downloading it could help you connect more easily but it’s totally up to you.

its not rly good or bad, just depends what ur looking for. if u just wanna vibe n make casual friends it can help, but some ppl use it more for flirty stuff too. if ur feeling lonely honestly just download it n try, worst case u hate it n delete it.
