Back in the day I had a couple dozen favorite spots, luscious little pieces of paradise all over the states and coastlines of Guerrero, Michoacán, and Nayarit. The place I was going to retire was near Taxco, Guerrero, in a flower-covered little house on a hill. I was going to get a couple donkeys as pets. That dream is gone and those areas are all off limits anymore, though. Cartel country. I won’t name them and wouldn’t advise going anywhere near those places today.

Kuelap. An old civilization located in the cloud forests in Northern Peru. Most tourists go south to Cusco to see Machu PIcchu.
Reserva Nacional Pampas galeras
It is a valley a few hours outside of Nazca. It is the best place to see and be close to Vicuña in their natural habitat since its a protected area.
Only recommend it to people who like stuff like national parks, hiking and wildlife.
I wouldn’t even recommend my fave place to a cousin I didn’t like. It’s my secret and let’s keep it crowd free haha
