I made a raspberry cheesecake for my friends birthday party, and when my other friend got up to go to the bathroom, he knocked it over and ruined it. We had to throw it away. I asked him to pay me later that night, and he said “no, it was an accident, you’re being a b****”. I just wanted to be paid back for the ingredients and work since people eating it would’ve been the payment yk.

Accidents happen. Next time, put whatever you have baked in a safer place now you know he’s clumsy.

YTA, while I don’t disagree that if sucks having your work destroyed and ingredients wasted. If he offered to pay for it and didn’t then it would be a different story but if it was truly an accident you shouldn’t expect payment.
Info: How did your friend knock it over? Was he doing something really careless?

Info: where was the cake that it was able to be knocked over by someone getting up?
YTA for saying you need payment because people didn’t eat it. Next time, set it somewhere where it can’t be easily knocked over.
