[Dune] How do you breathe in a Holtzman Shield on a windy day?

r/

The average speed of objects shields are set to block are anything above 6-9cm/second. It is specifically mentioned some leeway must be allowed for the user to breathe. This is about 0.216km/h. The average wind speed is about 11km/h. So wouldn’t all air be blocked on a windy day?

For that matter, the average walking speed is about 4km/h, which also suggests you shouldn’t be able to breathe while walking.

Wind tends to travel fast in a only a single direction at a time. So, even if the shield is blocking wind from one direction, it’s still letting in air from other directions.

Sort of like how standing next to a single airtight wall won’t cause you to suffocate.
