Something like get your base knowledge of education in until 8th grade, then you take a detailed test, go for an evaluation with somebody that specializes in this area they decide okay based on the results these are the career paths that might be best for you, and then for your four years of high school you spend specifically focusing on your chosen pathway graduate and your qualified. Something for doctors/doctorate requiring careers you might have to take an extra 4 years but look at it this way, you’ll have that qualification 4 years earlier than you would’ve. I don’t know though it obviously would need a lot more to work out but I’ve wondered it that might be a way better idea than what we’ve got now.

Any seat on the hill has to completely be transparent with their finances and business. Go back to experienced and qualified person. If you do t have any experience, go away. No person occupying the hill can work past retirement of 67. They can go and work elsewhere but not the as a president or senate or judiciary, and so on. Of some things I’m very well versed in that I believe I could fix, the majority of such fixings would take a decade at best, and decades being highly likely.Ā
You can just fix decades+ of deep interconnected issues in a day or a freaking year.Ā
Even things like the VA in the US, I could fix that system so fucking “easily” for the greater good of just about everyone and everything. But also, those fixes aren’t starting from scratch, there is already massive infrastructures and situations that would mean I’d need a year+ of planning to even figure out all the intricacies for transitioning to my goals. To minimize the issues that would arise in the crossover periods etc.Ā
Then you have to deal with the political will/capital issues, because even if I fixed everything as well as possible, and did the crossover as perfectly as possible, there necessarily will be crossover difficulties that are part of a perfect crossover. If people flip out because of that, then you lose.Ā
Democracies, with something like 4 years guaranteed and maybe 8 or so years potential, with split governments and the need to succeed before congressional or parliamentary seats flip…. means people think fucking 4-10 years matters.Ā

If I don’t have a reasonable expectation of 10+ years, then realistically I can’t do any better than the Gold fish electorate puts up now. And with seat flips, even 8 years or some odd 10-ish in other countries sometimes, makes some of those years effectively not count.Ā

If I was given a day, I could draft a fix to the American VA system and provide in the end, better care and save the government money and improve local markets. But my one day draft would require I ram through the desired goal, without concern to the crossover period.Ā
I’d estimate that if my order was kept, that the poor crossover would lead to about 20 years of pain. And it would only have any value if the order stood the whole time.Ā
If my order was implemented and then over a year or two it was all happening, the pain starts and then reversed. My order would only create pain and make the current issues still exist but slightly worse….Ā

I have no idea what the implications of this might be, but I reckon it would be an improvement over the current state of things.

Change tax law to end Turbo Tax lobbying.
Introduce a system called “Scientific Reublic” which requires all new laws to be run by and approved by a panel of highly educated and researched individuals in that specific field. For example, laws involving anything medical needs to be run by a team of extremely qualified doctors, anything drug related should be approved by specialists of that field. Energy laws by researched professionals. Put science and logic back into lawmaking.
Introduce ranked voting while also ending the existence of political parties for all elections. Individuals run as their own entity, not under any party umbrella.
Cap all life-saving medication at a price affordable to a median income household.
Rejoin the Paris climate agreement, also introducing financial incentives for clean energy.
Illegalize stores and restaurants throwing away food that wasn’t purchased.
And of course, undo everything Trump has done.
