Is it bad to have white guilt?

r/

As a white person(from Georgia the country and I really don’t know if we are white or not because we don’t genetically cluster with Europeans or smth), I am ashamed of how much the Far right has grown and how much racism whites have held towards other groups and even towards other whites. I know that I am not responsible for any of it and I stand against bigotry but it is quite overwhelming seeing everything and I am feeling convinced that white people should look down on everyone and I am very sad about that. Many Far right white people don’t even see other Whites as white which makes me feel bad in a way.

No need or value in being “guilty”.

But being aware of the existing racism allows you to not participate and to call it out when you see it. Focus on what you can do to improve what you can where you are.

Guilt by ascociation is bad. Both in feeling and judging others. “But that guys brother did…” it doesn’t matter, hus brother did something, not he.
