Does passionate love really exist or do we all just settle down ?

I know I’m still young (early 20s), and I’ve only had two serious relationships, but I can’t help feeling like I’ve never experienced that kind of deep, passionate, “head over heels” love people always talk about in movies, books, and even real-life stories.

Both of my relationships have had care, comfort, moments of happiness — but not that intensity. Not that can’t-sleep, can’t-eat, wildly in love, soul-gripping feeling. I know passion can fade over time in any relationship, but… shouldn’t there at least be that initial fire? That overwhelming sense that this person is it?

I keep wondering: do people really find that kind of love? Or is it a myth — something only a few lucky people get to feel? Or maybe, over time, we all just end up choosing comfort, compatibility, and stability over passion, because that’s what lasts.

I don’t want to be unrealistic, but I wish I could find someone who would make me feel that way. Maybe someone who would make me feel like this is the one — in a way that’s more than just safe or nice, but truly passionate.

Would love to hear from anyone who’s felt that kind of love — or even from people who thought they never would, but ended up finding it. Is it out there? Or are we all just making the best of what we get?

I think realistically you can find passionate love but passionate sexual energy ebbs and flows and that may decrease over time
