[Toy story][war gaming] in general what are the wargaming miniatures like personality wise?

r/

I think that they would be kinda like the army men but a lot more intense and much like early buzz not really able to distinguish between their role and reality with the warhammer guys being particularly unwillingly to accept their toy nature.

I could either see them being as you describe or just surprisingly chill.

The Warhammer guys are really gonna vary by faction. Like the Orks simply don’t care whether they’re toys or not. They’re just gonna fight, mostly about whether Andy is actually Gork or actually Mork. I bet the Loyalist Space Marines are serious like the army guys, and the Chaos Marines rib them for it while they play cards with Mr Potato Head.

The Toy Story that Time Forgot Christmas special features a clan of Masters of the Universe-style dinosaur warrior action figures owned by Bonnie’s friend that initially believe they’re real and are hostile to outsiders, but it’s eventually revealed that their leader is deliberately keeping the truth from them and stoking their distrust. Once this comes out they mellow out a lot.
