[TOMT][Cartoon/Anime][90s-Now] Side characters are fighting a villain, and it looks grim but at the last second, mc/someone really powerful comes in and saves everyone, and drops the quote, “you did well, i’m proud of you, now let me take over.” Similar to when Naruto appeared in the pain fight.

In Dragon Ball Z Goku does that a couple of times when he shows up in the Saiyan saga and the Namek saga.
Can you possibly remember any other details? What the characters or villains looked like?
The first show that comes to mind is Sailor Moon because Tuxedo Mask comes along along when fight scenes get intense sometimes, but I might be able to make a better guess with more info
