DAE think toast smells like poop?

I’m discovering that I might be the only one that associates toast with the smell of poop. I did think this was unusual, but I assumed at least someone would agree with me – so far not.

To be clear – its not the smell of my own poop, its a more general smell of poop that spreads from a toilet after someone’s pooped in it.

It is maybe specifically related to childhood experiences ,relating to my mum’s poops – she is veggie, used to take quite a few medications. Although, I once did confuse the smell of my dog’s poop to be the smell of toast once.

How normal/common is this?
