Lawsuit turned into insurance fraud.

r/

Customer got injured and lied about how it happened. Put in a claim with insurance. She has since attempted to sue me with predatory injury lawyer thats all over TV adds. If the idiot waited 2 more weeks to file her lawsuit the camera systems memory would have been over ridden by new data and not have shown her tripping over her own shoe and hitting the ground without even going into area she claimed injury happened thus no where near the equipped she claimed hit her. Now she’s on the hook for insurance fraud. Let that be a lesson wait more than 90 days to file a lawsuit when on camera.

the cost of some extra drives and an i.t. guy to make sure everything is up and running like it is supposed to be. is completely worth it for six months to a year of retention

You should take a copy of the relevant footage soon after the incident rather than just let the footage lapse.

90 days seems a bit short. i would have thought it would be standard when theres an accident to make backups of any footage that caught it (and a bit before/after) that gets tucked away forever, that way you never have to worry about this sort of thing.

I would have paid money to see her dumb face when presented with the camera evidence.
