Hello fellow europeans! I know its late, but I got no sleep. I am curious how much do people in other european countries usually pay for their mobile plan and what is considered a good deal in their country. I will start. I currently have a Flexible montly non contractual subscription at 9 RON ( ~1.90 € ). At this price point I have unlimited calls and SMS and 10GB of national data, no roaming. 10GB of Roaming in SEE will cost me, if I need in addition for a month, 32 RON ( ~ 6.40€ ). I personally think that this is a steal even for the stiff competition in my country.
Also, do you feel like you are being overcharged? Thanks for answering!

I pay 15€ a month, I have 15GB data + unlimited everything. I have roaming. I don’t feel like I am being overcharged.
I pay 15€ a month, I have 15GB data + unlimited everything. I have roaming. I don’t feel like I am being overcharged.
Norway:
10 GB data ≈ €20 – €40
Unlimited data (which is usually not really unlimited) ≈ €40 – €70
And no, there is no reason to go for the more expensive options.
I pay 25€ and have unlimited calls, Sms and 45 GB data/month including free roaming in the EU + UK.
It’s a contract from pre-brexit times and they cannot take the UK out of it for some reason, so I’m going to keep it.
10 € per month for 40 GB of data, half of which I can also use for roaming. (Calls and SMS are unlimited of course, but the last time
I sent text messages or regularly called people through their phone number was around 2012 or so).
9.90€. 1000 Min/SMS and 55GB data (incl 12GB EU Roaming)
In Belgium I’m paying 5 euros for 15 GB and unlimited text and call in Belgium.
£21.74/month (€25.56) – sim only, I own the phone outright.
120GB data, 12GB roaming, unlimited calls/texts, 12 months of Paramount+ included.
25€ unlimited calls, sms and also unlimited data with 200mb/s speed in nordic countries and Estonia, perhaps all of Baltic countries. 30gt of data roaming outside of these areas per month.
Edit: I believe i can get it even cheaper if i change the operator, the current would try to get me back with cheaper plan.
Just extended my plan. €7,50 for 10.000MB Data/Minutes/Texts.
Edit: I’m quite happy with it. Got a few extras as well because I combined it with another subscription (for TV and internet at home)
I pay 8.99€ a month for 15GB data, unlimited texts and calls. Only ramped up in the last months tho (first 3GB/7.99/4G, then 4GB/7.99/4G, then 6GB/8.99/5G and most recently 10GB/8.99/5G)
Poland. I dont have a phone plan! I have pre-paid. I load up momey into it like… 50zł (~10eu) once a year lol. I dont call much, no one in this day and age uses text messages, and my phone operator gives me hundreds of free GB of internet so I could never run out even if I tried.
€8.99 for 100GB in France, 25GB in other EU countries. Unlimited texts and calls.
I have like I think 25€ / month for unlimited data + calls and messages in Finland, the Nordics and the Baltics + around 30gb of data per month on EU/ETA area.
Price can’t change tho, so I can’t for example donate by message.
Oh and I think that’s fairish. Could be a bit cheaper but eh, it’s got good tax on it as well so
£15 a month gets me unlimited texts to Uk numbers, unlimited calls to Uk numbers and 25Gb of data.
I also get 1 hour of minutes to any country.
I pay the equivalent of 70€ for me and my wife’s mobile and our home internet. Everything unlimited including roaming within EU. Home connection is 250gbit/s. This also includes like 15 tv channels I never watch.
Italy: 7.95€/month, 150/200Gb (don’t even remember), unlimited calls and 100 sms/ month,
In Europe I have unlimited calls and something like 10gb a month
We have very good deals, since public wifis are pretty much non-existent
15 euro’s per month, for 10Gb of data and 120 minutes. It’s ok, not really a heavy mobile user, and I got wifi at home and at the office. I pretty much only use Signal and public transport apps, it’s more of a nice to have should I need it.
Poland here. Small business plan in Orange, 3 numbers with unlimited calls/SMS and 115GB of data (18GB in EU) + data only 30GB sim costs me 110 PLN (about 27 EUR). I pay only for international calls and SMS.
Worth adding I have two fiber connections from same provider, 300 Mb/s and 1Gb/s for abou 145 PLN (34 EUR).
Gross prices with 23% VAT tax, worth adding.
I just extended my plan: two-year contract sim-only for average €9,5 per month for 25 GB data (5g speed up to 150 Mbit/s), unlimited calling and 500 sms.
Poland
20 pln / 5 EUR, for unlimited calls & SMS, ~20gb of data.
Italy:
7.99€ per month
Unlimited SMS and calls, 100GB of data
8.72GB of roaming in the EU
Vodafone
Finland:
For my phone I have an unlimited 4G plan for 22,99€/month.
At home I have a 4G sim in a WiFi router for 20,23€/month (router not included).
22,65€. I could find cheaper ones, but I have used this company (Telmore) for many years, and they are trustworthy and stable.
What plan? I have 2 SIM cards, both prepaid, i put money on them when i ran out. Around €20 combined every few (like, 4) months.
I switched all my plans to pre-paid, as this seems to be, counter-intuitively, cheaper.
In Cyprus I have a pre-paid SIM with my longstanding number for which I need to top-up 5 Euro per 365 days in order to avoid deactivation. It can be seen as a 42 cent monthly maintenance fee.
In Germany, I pay 10 Euro per 28 days for a pre-paid plan that includes a data volume of 10 GB (with full roaming, 5G, hotspots permitted), 200 units for GSM calls and SMS in the EU, and unlimited GSM calls and SMS to the same provider. This provider keeps increasing the data volume every time they change their plans, I was originally paying 10 Euro for 4 GB. They also occasionally double my monthly data volume as a retention tactic.
I think it’s fine. My only issue is that my German provider uses a 28 day billing cycle, which is a dark pattern. But 10 Euro for 10 GB (and occasionally more) is acceptable. I rarely use more than 6-7 GB per month – it only happens when I forget to turn off the mobile hotspot.
What I find too expensive is my fixed internet connection.
Belgium
€29.99/month for unlimited everything. My data gets throttled after 160 GB, but not cut off.
I pay 8,99€ monthly for 15gb internet. I don’t make calls and I don’t send sms.
Surplus gbs can be taking with me to the next month. And I can cancel any time.
Net coverage could be better but this is germany, a digital 3rd world country…
12€, unlimited calls/sms. 40GB data and I believe as much in the EU.
I pay my mobile, my wife’s mobile and our home internet together.
That’s unlimited everything (calls, sms and data) for two people, and a 2 gbps home connection that costs around 110 Euros.
Hi! Iive in the Netherlands and pay 10 euros a month for unlimited calling and sms, and 6GB of data (of which I rarely more than 1, but the price difference 1 or 6 GB is negligible).
Italy, 7.99€/month, 200GB, unlimited calls or texts
Germany:
18 GB data, unlimited calls and sms ~ 10€
That’s considered quite cheap
25 PLN (~5.8€) for unlimited calls, SMS and 30GB of data. I don’t really use that much data and it stacks up, so I’ve got like 100+ GB to use.
Additional 10GB is like 10 PLN, and 100GB is 40 PLN.
Unlimited data plans are not that popular. What would you use more than 50GB for?
I pay 100 euro for 2 mobile plans (illimited calls SMS and 5G data) and my high speed internet subscription at home. I have 40GB of data abroad in the EU per month.
Honestly I can’t complain.
Oh wow. Holy cow other countries are so much cheaper 🤯
I pay €14 a month for 30 GB. Free roaming in the EU obviously. Unlimited national calls. No idea about texts.
28 Euro all in free on 10 Mb i can upgrade to 20 for same price, just havnt gone to sign up for the package that is every 2 years. Cyprus Eu.
18eur 200M 4G, not including calls/sms, but those are capped max 4e/month.
7€ / month for unlimited data and 5000min/SMS. 15Gb data on EU roaming.
I pay 11.99€ for Unlimited 5G data (without any speed limit), Unlimited calls and like 200 sms, if I remember correctly 13GB in EU+EEA+UK.
WindTre
I had this 5G offer with the first 100GB without any limit, and the remaining unlimited data capped at 10Mbps for 9.99€ but they recently increased the cost to 11.99€ and removed the 10Mbps limit: https://www.windtre.it/all-inclusive/go-unlimited
Switzerland, €28 per month.
Unlimited data in Switzerland and most of Europe (except in the baltics and balkans). For the other countries in Europe I can get an unlimited data pass which is €5 per day (or just get a local SIM).
Unlimited calls and texts in Switzerland.
To me that’s an amazing deal because when I lived in Ireland and France I was paying €20 or €25 per month for the same thing but obviously there the salaries are multiple times lower.
I would say that what I pay is on the lower side with a conpany known for poor customer service, but personally I haven’t really had issues with them so I don’t plan on changing.
€20 – unlimited everything, except speed, which is capped at 20mbps, more than enough for everything mobile.
EU wide the data plan is 40GB/month, but within the Netherlands unlimited
NOK 148 (€12.56) for unlimited calls and texts, and 6GB data, plus “rollover”, meaning I save up unspent data from previous months for up to a total of 12GB.
I’ve found other cheap carriers who matches this price, but none beating it with the same amount of data.
20€ for unlimited calls, texts and data.
Czech republic.
In France, old Bouygues Telecom package, 60GB and unlimited call/sms and roaming for €10.99
Thanks to Iliad, i have 120GB, unlimited calls, sms and MMS (but who the hell still uses those) in Italy, 11GB with free calls internationally. All for 7.99€.
10€/month, 20 min calls (min because I’m deaf) and 120GB with free roaming in the EU
10€ : Unlimited internet (5G) in France, unlimited calls and texts. 35GO in 110 countries
I pay 7€ for 7 GB. I’m pretty sure I could get more data for the same price – I’ve been on this plan for four or five years now – but I can’t remember the last time I even got close to using all my data.
My employer pays for it, it’s kinda expensive: 40 euros per month for unlimited calls and text messages and 300GB of data
O2, € 20,00 /40GB Data /every other thing unlimited (like calls, SMS, EU-Roaming).
UK – I’m with Lebara with 20gb data, unlimited everything else and roaming is included. £6.95 a month (8.18€).
5€, unlimited everything nationwide, but 0.012€/SMS outside my carrier. 6GB internet in roaming, in EEA States.
9€90 unlimited sms and call, 250 GB and 15 GB roaming in Europe. 🇫🇷
£10 a month for an iPhone 14 Pro Max with 100gb data.
Timed that absolutely perfectly when O2 & Virgin Mobile merged together.
