I think I finally found my style. Dresses (especially maxi), flared pants with shirts, jumpsuits but jeans had to go, i only have 3, 1 black, 1 white and 1 blue. They just weren’t doing anything for me, but I still haven’t found if I’m a silver or gold girlie yet.
Did your style evolve in your 30s too? Did you ditch something that no longer worked for you or finally figure out your signature look?

I’m in grad school and I dress exclusively in yoga pants and hoodies unless I’m presenting at a conference. I’m hoping style comes back at some point
Yes, it definitely has evolved for the better. I’ve invested in long lasting classic pieces that I can wear for decades.
I don’t follow trends either, so I don’t feel pressure to constantly buy new clothes.
I’m like casual/country/goth, but a grown-up. I used to try to wear colors and all of that, and it wasn’t me. Now it’s dark jeans, black shirts, black dresses, black shoes, but I’m in the southwest and I love country music so it’s more of a country flair. Hard to describe, but it’s just me.
I looked like a teenage boy in my twenties and wore nothing but baggy joggers and hoodies, so yes. I’ve only recently started to feel like an adult woman. I’ve bought some pretty dresses and skirts which I look forward to wearing, but the adjustment will feel weird. I’m still figuring out my body because I ignored it for years.
Yessss! After my 39th birthday last year I decided to embrace color. Now I’m that girl walking down the street in a pastel athleisure outfit 😊
I’m in my comfy era. Yoga pants and flats hehe
But it took me until I was well in to my 30s to realise what necklines flatter me and that made a big difference to my wardrobe!
Yes. I started wearing yoga pants in public because I no longer care what anyone thinks of my flubber 😂
I’ve lost a significant amount of weight the past two years so I feel like my style is still evolving and I haven’t quite found exactly what I want yet. I find that I tend to go pretty alt/goth in the winter months and then once it gets warmer I do a 180 with bright colors, white, trendy stuff. I’m hoping to find a more happy medium and a style that’s a little bit more cohesive between the seasons!
I’m tending to not want to wear brightly coloured clothes and am leaning towards more navy, black, grey and white. I’m also self conscious about wearing my skinny jeans as I think that’s how I’m identified as a millennial!
I’m just more “idgaf” about what I look like. I wear my jeans, sneaks, baggy shirts that are way too big on me. But it’s me. My husband calls it the homeless look. Lol
Omg I feel this! So many things changed for me.
-ditching polyester and nylon as best i can. I still have wardrobe things that contain them, but i wear them quite minimally, ans basically wearing them until they rip and I can discard for good. I buy cotton and linens as much as possible, and I’m okay with minimal spandex.
-Can’t and won’t do skinny jeans anymore. Wide leg pants and comfy, well fitted long sleeves are my favourite.
-don’t wear a ton of heels anymore either. I’m tall as is, my legs work for me.
Yeah, of course. I went from trying to dress like Pinterest to dressing the way I liked and felt good. My ex and his family loved to comment on how “revealing” and “tight” my clothes were when they simply fit (and were not revealing in the slightest beyond being not a turtleneck and something loose and below the knee on the bottom + the way my body is shaped) so I kept trying to dress “modestly” and more “professional” and it got exhausting. After my divorce, I started wearing lower necklines, pieces with cut outs, more classic pieces over trendy things, shorter shorts and skirts, things that are just more flattering on my body. I wear a lot of athleisure now, too, but that’s also because I work from home and have a toddler.
I gained 40 pounds and now feel like I can’t dress myself. I hate everything I own. I’ve never had style but it’s 1000% worse now
I used to wear alot of dark colours and black. My clothes were usually quite baggy and covered alot. Kind of tomboy-ish.
Now in my 30s I’ve gone the opposite way. Colourful, tighter, more revealing clothes. Lots of sundresses. Sometimes I dress like a teenager to be honest. I don’t care so long as its comfy. I have so many pairs of crocs it’s out of control.
My style had to change. My body forced it too 🙁
I braved a few crop tops despite being the weight I wish I wasn’t. This and some straight jeans rather than skinny jeans, and a few flared. I’ve stopped ordering “cute things” from those cheap places like SHEIN, and actually pop into the stores now to look for things.
No not really. I’ve updated pieces but I’ve always like getting dressed.
I no longer have ripped jeans. My skinny jeans are being replaced with straight or wide leg.
Lots of neutral colors with different necklines. My skirts and dresses are either knee length, midi or maxi.
No prints other than striped linen shirts and a cheetah button up. Nothing floral anymore.
Yeah, my wardrobe has definitely changed with age.
I’ve gone in stages. In my very late 20s I had to make a New Year’s resolution to stop wearing sweatpants/gym pants in public. I just wore like workout combos, black sweatpants, etc. in public every day and it dawned on me that I really needed to make an effort and get dressed a bit to go out. So that was a start.
In my early 30s I started wearing dresses in the warmer weather. I’m not sure what happened, I got a few sporty dresses from Patagonia and now 15 years later I have about 4 bins of summer dresses and another rack hanging in my closet. They are comfortable, pretty, easy, and fun so I really like wearing dresses when it’s seasonable enough to do so.
Aside from that I had to make a resolution to stop wearing running sneakers with everything (besides my dresses.) A quick grocery run is one thing but I started wearing tall boots in the winter, cuter sandals in the summer, and nicer tennis shoes otherwise. That was an improvement.
Who knows what is next. I’ve put a moratorium on buying any new clothes until I turn 50 though. I’m going through menopause and my body has changed. I’ll just wear what I have as long as it fits and go from there later. Four years from buying clothes will be a nice break.
I’ve always been a wild style kind of person. One day I’ll be decked out in all black and fishnets and chains, the next day I’ll be wearing a wrap around skirt and flowy hippie shirt, and the next I’ll have baggy pants and a crop top on. It hasn’t changed I’ve been like this since my teens and I’m near mid thirties now
My style has matured, I’d like to think I dress more sophisticated in my later 30s……
…….she says as she lays there in her “What Would Dolly Do?” sweatshirt.
Yes, mine changed from actually putting outfits together in my 20s, to hooded sweatshirts and leggings in my 30s.
