I used to get my hair cut by a woman, and then I spent 8 years working for myself at home and just buzzed my hair. The last year I’ve worked in office some days and on Zoom/Teams everyday so I get professional cuts again. My current style is a high fade, which seems to be something that, at least here, only men seem to do.
A guy, but I don’t really care who it is as long as they do a good job.
I just honestly couldn’t care, I either cut my hair or when I’m lazy I go to any shop that cuts hair and could not care whether it’s a man or a woman.
I’ve gone to both in the past. Currently getting mine cut by a woman, because she was the specialist at the barber shop I switched to. She’s awesome and does a great job, and she can shave my beard with an electric razor and then a straight blade, which feels wonderful.
I need an option for “Whomever is working that day.”
A standard hair cut at a barbers where I live (Norway) can easily be US$65-75. More if it’s a fancy place or there’s styling involved. There’s a cheap chain that does it for about US$35. Similar if you go to a barber in a migrant area. So I just go to whomever.
Woman currently, but I wouldn’t care and have had it cut by men before as well. Usually I find someone I like and just stick with them until I or they move or whatever.
Always by a man. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a woman work in a barbershop before.
I have a woman do it, specifically my wife. She started doing it during the covid lockdowns and the first few were like “it’s ok it will grow back”. Now they are plenty good and the best part is the clipper set paid for itself after three haircuts.
Woman. Not a lot of male hair stylists, and my curly hair needs a scissors cut, not clippers.
