Was there a giant group text, Facebook post, or news broadcast? How did thousands and thousands of people all participate for the “Hands off” protest at the same time? What’d i miss?

Posts on social media, mentioned by friends on discord, my city newspaper had a mention
Edit: honestly when it’s expected to be big the town basically needs people to know cause it affects traffic.
I saw facebook posts and flyers all over the place.

This is one the major organizers of the protests.
Isn’t it crazy how little “traditional” news coverage it’s getting?!?!
i overheard it tuesday night when some other people were talking. maybe facebook?
A few of my neighbors told me about it, and my wife heard about it at work.
Reddit…everyday
Reddit and other social media, I think.
The invite came with the Soros check
Massive marketing campaign sponsored by multiple activist groups. So yes, lots of social media campaigning.
Um, the internet? Also friends?
It was on almost every city subreddit.
It was all over the Internet and Facebook groups.
Did anyone protest today?
I’m only on Reddit and Twitter and had no idea they were protesting today. Was walking out in Seattle and they were everywhere. 🤣 I was thinking the exact same thing like how tf yall plan this shit
Word of mouth goes a long way in the 21st century. Look how many people you’re connecting with right now. Then this people tell 4 people. Then those four people tell more. So on and so forth. I personally think it’s easier to spread info about a protest like this because of that and couple with social media. I felt like I couldn’t NOT k ow about it some how. 🍻
Facebook and email from my union. FB had several posts over several days.

I’ve known about it for the past couple of weeks at least. At first I thought it was just the Women’s March. Then I started to see stuff about this. Social media.
Instagram! I follow a lot of activists local and national.
I heard it through Rednote and Tiktok mostly, then most recently by word of mouth by several people. I was messaging people through out the day and most were like what the hell, when did this get planned?
The organizers posted on social media. I saw my city’s here on Reddit a few days ago.
It was ALL over social media
Sorry, we thought you knew.
Seems to be regular protests on Saturdays across the country
It was all over the internet for days.
I saw it on BlueSky.
If you only spend time on your own curated reddit feed (and that’s the entirety of your social media consumption), it was easy to miss. I maintain a pretty buttoned-up bubble, so I didn’t know anything about it until my dear ol’ Ma said something a couple days ago, lol.
Otherwise, it was all over various city subreddits, Facebook posts, twitter, tiktok, etc.
