[TOMT] [PC] [1990s] First person Rpg like game where you could see your right hand and advance screen by screen

This was an old DOS game and it used to scare me as a little kid, so I didn’t play it much. Around the era of Wolfenstein 3d and Wing Commander.

From what I can recall, it was a slideshow type game where your right hand was visible and you could go forward, turn left, turn right etc. I’ve looked up games and the movement system in eye of the beholder felt familiar.

I feel like it was an Rpg, possibly casting spells but I can’t be for sure. The scene I remember was a dark theme, spooky like cemetery type feel set in a dark woods maybe there were wolves attacking. I do not recall an Rpg with kings and queens and stuff. I did not play much or get far so this must be at the beginning of the game.
