Like I’ll binge a whole series, get super emotionally invested, and then just… stop right before the finale. I’ll literally leave the last episode sitting there for months like some sacred relic.

Sometimes when the show is older and only one season, but great and I exactly know there is a Cliffhanger at the end.
If it was that good and I’d die if I don’t, I will.
If it’s not worth it, I won’t.
No, I don’t invest myself in media enough to be upset when it’s over. I see it as a full story and want to see how it wraps.
I lean toward doing that but then I just go for it. The second the finale is over, I start the first episode again. I love seeing everyone you g and alive again!
I do it too. Hell have one right now I’m putting the finale off on. Have to wait until I’m in the proper headspace and then will finally watch it.
Yeah I haven’t seen the last episode of Lost because I don’t want it to be over. Have no idea what happens.
Do you have sex and then not orgasm?
Yes. I’m the same with a good book. I can see there are only a few pages left, so I’ll stop reading until I can cope with the idea that it’s officially over.
yes i refused to watch the ending episode of buffy the vampire slayer and angel and when i did i regretted it so now i dont ever watch the ending of series intentionally to keep the show alive
Quantum Leap. Sam is still out there
I haven’t finished the last season of Sherlock because I didn’t want it to end
I’ve been guilty
I haven’t seen the last episode of Lovejoy and that finished in 1994.
It’s funny, my two favorite shows growing up were Who’s The Boss and Growing Pains. I’ve never watched the final episode of those shows. I’ve watched the final episode of almost every other show except those two for some reason.
This is what reading a book is like. You get very invested and then it’s over. It’s almost like a bereavement
It took me a long time to finish Samurai Champloo because of that. It’s been a while, but I think I watched the final episode 4 or 5 years later.
Yes. Currently doing that with scrubs lol.
Yes. Took me close to 2 years to watch the last season to supernatural. I didn’t want it to end.
Me and The Good Place. I can’t bring myself to finish it
id watch the finale but pretend it never happened
No, I usually watch through the whole thing way too fast and then not want/know what to watch for like 2-3 weeks
Yes! It took a few years to finally watch the last episode of Parks & Rec (which was a 2 part iirc and was AWESOME). Took months till I watched the end of Curb (just couldn’t stop myself). But I’ll rewatch both series again in the future so they’re not exactly “over” anyway… 🙂
Yup. Me. Every fucking time.
Ted Lasso. Though as soon as they start production on the new season (!), I’ll be rewatching the whole thing all over again to get caught up.
In a similar vein, I have been reading Agatha Christie’s Hercule Poirot stories for over three decades but I refuse to read the novel where he dies. I own it but won’t read it, lol
I didn’t used to be like that. But at some point some years back I started subconsciously avoiding finishing the ending of things. I would procrastinate and put it off. I didn’t notice I was doing it at first so I’ve always wondered what might have caused my aversion to it lol.
I totally do this. Haha.
I’m glad im not alone
First time around I’ll usually watch the ending. But if I’m rewatching a show I’ve seen before, I’ll usually stop before the finale. Especially with sitcoms. I like those to feel open-ended. For example, I’ve rewatched The Office a bunch of times, but I’ve only seen the finale a few times. Honestly, with that one, half the time I stop right before Michael leaves.
No and I think you’re all insane!
If it is an older show, I don’t have a problem with it. If it’s a new show, sometimes I’ll wait to find out if it’s renewed or not before watching it. I hate shows that have a season finale cliffhanger, and then the show is canceled with no resolution or conclusion.
