90s Hondas Toyotas Nissans and Mitsubishis are already classics
Honda Civic si, Honda del sol, Honda S200, Acura Integra, Honda Fit, Acura RSX-type S, Toyota Supra, Toyota Celica, Toyota MR-2, Lexus IS300, Lexus SC300, Nissan 240sx, Nissan 300zx, and of course the Nissan Skyline, Mitsubishi 3000gt, Mitsubishi Evo, and Mitsubishi Eclipse, Suburu WRX, just to name a few
Probably not. Most restored classics are cars what people wish they could have had “back then” and now that they have time, money, etc. They can get what the coveted back in the day.
Quite possibly, I have seen Austin 7’s and a Morris Minor in a museum and they were the best selling cars of their era, they are still quite common, especially the Minor and so are everywhere, I have a friend who drives one regularly, yet they still lighten me up a little when see one. There are about 14,000 left here in the UK That’s more than the remaining Ford Sierra’s and Ford Capri’s combined and then some.

Depends on how our current technology stands the test of time. If we get to stand the test of time, of course.
A 1985 Camry isn’t particularly impressive today imo
