Serious question. I know that a lot of men think they’re hilarious, but what about women? Do we think we’re funny?
I have to write a short piece that’s mildly funny, and it’s really got me thinking… I’m definitely goofy – I like joking around and making people laugh – but I’ve never thought of myself as being “funny.” Not that I’ve given it much thought until now.
I assume that most people think they have a good sense of humor, but to me that’s more of a passive thing – as opposed to actively being funny.
If you think you’re funny, how do you know? Do people tell you? Or do you just assume? Very curious about the thought process!

I don’t think it’s related to the gender, men and women can make me laugh also kids, as long as it is funny for me.
I’m more sarcastic than funny and sometimes I wish that I’m funny.
I used to be. I feel like my funny bone has atrophied a bit with less social interaction, or maybe I’m just more boring and less eager for validation now. But yeah, definitely identitets as a funny for a large part of my life and people seemed to agree. They laugh/ed.
People constantly tell me I’m funny and entertaining so I suppose I must be 🤷🏻♀️. I do think my humor is more dry and sarcastic.
I’m not going to do standup comedy, but yeah, I can whip out some good one-liners and make people laugh.
I’m funny when I want to be. My humor is of the sort that references previous topics in a conversation. I like to make everyone feel like they are part of the knowing.
Not sure if it’s the first thing people would mention when describing me. But I sometimes make people laugh with little comments and observations here and there.
It’s one of the few things I almost feel confident about, yeah. I know a woman making him laugh is one of the main things my fiancé finds attractive, and he’s told me many times that I’m funny. And I’ve heard it from others as well. Feels a bit arrogant to believe them haha, but if I remind myself I’m allowed to think I’m good at something… then yeah, I think I’m decently funny.
I’m not just funny, I’m hilarious. And it’s a big point of pride for me.
