DC: One city is basically just a farm for costumed psychopaths, another has criminals so well-informed about their main opponent that they have rules to avoid pushing him too far, a third operates like 15th Century Florence. Never mind that 90% of the economy belongs to three families (the Waynes, the Luthors, and the Queens) and a science consortium that may be a covert government operation, or that every promising botanist was somehow betrayed and turned into a plant monster, the criminal division of labor among the cities is bad enough to make any non-powered person paranoid beyond belief.
lol, living in NYC during the current MCU would be awful. City has been destroyed from everything from stupid fights to an alien invasion. So many buildings were destroyed and the movies make the city look empty. But I can promise you that they absolutely would not be empty.
Your life has no value and you are relying on people who regularly murder you without effort to choose to save you.
Imagine surviving the Invincible war and then trusting Invincible to save you from all his super strong relatives out in space when they kill your kind for fun?
I say the invincible universe at one time all of coastal cities were under water for a few months bc one Madlad destroyed Greenland (no not trump) earth was around six times almost conquered by alien races from our dimension and other dimensions
The Boys, where most superheroes are straight up psychopaths and the agency ‘controlling’ them is more interested in profits than the common good. Vaught is more than happy to cover up heinous crimes comitted by their ‘supes’, in order to guarantee income.
In most of the other ones you can just not live in the cities and be fine but that doesn’t seem to be an option in OPM and cities get partially destroyed on an almost daily basis due to the constant threats.
Hancock before the movie, he’s a walking disaster. At least in MCU and DC, the world is fucked without superheros helping us which makes them nessary evil, but Hancock universe is just one man using Earth as his piss ground.
If you live in Europe, it doesn’t really matter what universe you live in, I guess. But if you decide to live in America, mainly New York? Good luck with that!
A bit niche, but Wild Cards would be pretty terrible. Most of the people who catch the virus either die a horrible death or are cursed with some awful mutation. And the tiny group of people who get powers are mostly assholes.
Hell no, you could be eating ice cream and walking your kid down the road only for an 8ft tall crazy ass iron built maniac to fly right beside you at the speed of sound which would result in your limbs flying different directions
Irredeemable. So this universe Superman analogue(The Plutonian) has gone crazy. Killing millions and sinking an entire country to the bottom of the ocean. The only hope of humanity is a bunch of morons who fucks up all the time
1 fucked the Plutonian behind her husband’s back. 1 is a super genius that has to means to deal with him but refuses to kill him. 1 has gone mad with power and got himself killed by his own teammate. 1 sold the Earth’s freedom to aliens.
Oh and the Plutonian burns down North America with his heat vision. The damage he does can be seen in space.

DC or marvel. It’s a toss up
You gotta remember they have the most characters which means they’ll have the most issues and most chances to run into life threatening events
DC: One city is basically just a farm for costumed psychopaths, another has criminals so well-informed about their main opponent that they have rules to avoid pushing him too far, a third operates like 15th Century Florence. IMHO Invincible is much worse than current DC or MCU
My Hero Academy – Literally everyone else has a power, and the villains wipe out cities at a time.
invincible
The Boys, where most superheroes are straight up psychopaths and the agency ‘controlling’ them is more interested in profits than the common good. Vaught is more than happy to cover up heinous crimes comitted by their ‘supes’, in order to guarantee income.
The Boys
In any super-heroic universe, the average person will be in a bad way.
Marvel. Constantly something wanting to destroy the planet, galaxy or the universe.
Heroes fighting and demolishing cities.
Monster invasions. Dudes who can snap and wipe half the galaxy.
Worm, and it’s not even close.
The marvel universe, mostly because of half the population turning to dust and then 5 years later coming back out of nowhere.
Imagine these scenarios for example.
Someone getting surgery and the surgeons disappear.
A happy couple and then suddenly one of them disappears, only for one of them to return 5 years later and sees their partner has moved on.
What if you were skydiving during the blip?
You come back to ur home to see someone else has moved in during the 5 years u were gone.
You are on trial and your lawyer disappears
This happens mid poop
The boys
One Punch Man.
In most of the other ones you can just not live in the cities and be fine but that doesn’t seem to be an option in OPM and cities get partially destroyed on an almost daily basis due to the constant threats.
“an” is used when the next word starts with a e i o u, and sometimes h.
Watchmen.
The boys
Worm.
“Oh no, A-Train ran through a woman, and now Homelander’s taken over the government.” – Someone who thinks S9 are grid coordinates.
“Omni-Man’s people are going to cause an apocalypse if nobody stops them!” – Someone who’s never heard a Dinah Alcott prophecy.
“But, in Marvel, half of the population of earth got wiped out.” – Someone who thinks a Gold Morning is just a pretty sunrise.
West Side Story Universe where Thanos keeps singing the Jets song and snapping his fingers…/s
One Punch Man. Whole cities get wiped out pretty regularly.
Invincible
Dragonball probably not great, doubt it’s as bad as some because they seem nice enough to fight in the wilderness most of the time
I thought it would obviously be the Marvel Zombie Universe. Immortal super human zombies. They pretty much cause all humans to go extinct.
Does Buffy the Vampire Slayer count? The murder rate of that small town must be nuts.
Dredd. (or is that just a comic book universe and not a Superhero one?)
The Boys.
Some write Invincible. But at least there are various strong heroes there to protect you.
But the boys? RIP
Hancock before the movie, he’s a walking disaster. At least in MCU and DC, the world is fucked without superheros helping us which makes them nessary evil, but Hancock universe is just one man using Earth as his piss ground.

Might not be the worst but I’d say living in Gotham city with Batman protecting us would be cool as hell. Imagine seeing joker out at night 😂
I might go with dragon ball universe. See how often they destroy planets
Invincible

surprised no one has mentioned Brandon Sandersons “The Reckoners” series of novels.
all supers are villains. regular humans are the only ones able to fight them.
Dora the explora, it’s gon be a no from me dog.
Marvel. Tryna get to work and superman tosses your car at a 80 ft alien and misses
One punch man.
Lady Deaths universe count? Evil Ernie alone ruined the world.
my hero academia
Any?!??!
Brandon Sanderson’s Reckoners universe is pretty bad:
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Reckoners
Invincibles universe
Megacity One would not be ideal.
