Shopping malls that were full of stores, families and high school kids hanging out at stores, the arcade, orange julius, food court, etc.
Weekends at the mall back then were a buzz of activity and a great way to spend a few hours.
Video rental stores. There was something magical about walking through the aisles on a Friday night, picking up a movie, and grabbing some microwave popcorn. The excitement of finding the last copy of a new release was better than any streaming algorithm recommendation.
I’m from 93 but man I’d like the salaries and prices from the 80s. Imagine being able to buy a house and a car and have an unemployed wife with 3 kids at home and still live fine. I barely survive in a wealthy country in Europe with a salary above the median.

The way movie trailers were made in the 80s.
They were done well enough to hype you up and make you want to see the movie, without spoiling what happens in the movie.
Reagan Republicans.
Not really, Ronald Reagan was awful, but I compared to MAGA they are like paragons of integrity.
