Most baseball hats have a polyester liner with some traces of cotton. The polyester can be pretty rough on skin if there isn’t hair to create a gap. You could try a size up, or a tab up if it’s a fully adjustable hat. From what I’ve experienced, the more fluffy the liner the more comfortable the hat is. It may be a higher cotton percentage but I’m not certain.
