Roth IRA is your friend. Don’t make investing complicated; index the world and keep buying, don’t watch it. Do pushups and go for walks every day. Eat whole foods.

Cardio, motherfuckers. Maintenance is a lot easier if you didn’t let it all break down first.

    Also, VT and chill.

God I swear I see this question twice a day.

Steady saving and keep your back healthy. For me personally… didn’t find CrossFit until I was almost 41.

CrossFit isn’t the magic answer, but for me it was something I’ve enjoyed sticking with over time.

Your body doesn’t “give up” when you turn 40 if you treat it right. Eat properly, exercise regularly, get good sleep.

Sleep well. Lift weights, eat reasonably healthy. Learn who you are and love yourself. Try therapy.
Do what you love and be absolutely unapologetic about it.

    Stretch

    Cardio

If you work too much you’ll lose the best years of your life without having a chance to enjoy yourself.

BS, I stretch, I workout, I am healthy as fuck, but I am extremely lost in life. So these comments are useless for me at least

Date, travel, and enjoy yourself while investing your money for the future

But also try to find a woman to settle down with in your 30s because it gets harder as you age, lose your looks, lose your energy, etc.

Learn to be more accepting of your shortcomings. Make sure you adjust your diet a little more every year. Exercise daily and respect your knees and back

Choose a kind woman over a merely hot one. Software is vastly more important than hardware over the long run.

Get annual physicals/blood work. Do dental cleanings and checkups.

Do not take advice from anybody. Most of the advice given to me unsolicited and otherwise has been totally wrong. The rest of it didn’t really apply in my situation. The advice get from one person is a data point. Consensus around a data point is often wrong or not applicable.

Max savings rate, if employer-matched, max that out. Buy real estate in good location, lock in low rate re-fi as needed and pay it down as you re-fi. Health-wise, there’s step changes along the way as you get to 40s, 50s and beyond, and you need to be stay ahead of those changes, don’t wait for them to happen: so consider lifestyle, exercise, stress, alcohol, sugar, etc. I could be more specific but you generally want to hammer this.

40 can be no different (I mean no worse) than your 30s if you stay fit. Embrace some weight training, even if it’s twice a week, then just move–walk a lot, run a couple days, bike, whatever you enjoy.

Then enforce some organization on your life so all the admin shit of life doesn’t stress you out too much. Just organize a little to avoid missing deadlines and all the crap that makes you feel chaotic.
