Anyone who actually puts him in time to memorize each flag can do it easily. It’s no different from memorizing 200 Pokémon, 200 Soccer players, or Album covers. It’s just knowing each flag from memory is useless to virtually every person so there’s no point in doing it.

They do represent the nations of the world, which is the place where we live, and which tend to drive large scale events. So I’d say it’s slightly better than knowing those things.
In the end I think most people do it because flags are neat
Exactly. People act like there’s thousands of flags to memorise.
Putting the time in to learn anything is impressive, no matter what it is or how useful it is
Memorising that much stiff is impressive. It’s not like, win a gold medal impressive, but it’s mildly impressive.
Is that a thing people brag about? I’ve never once met someone that has told me they know all the flags.
Op just lost a flag trivia game lmao
So you just exist to shit on people’s interests?
You could say the same thing about literally anything: performing heart surgery isn’t impressive, just go to school and practice; flying a fighter jet isn’t impressive, it’s basically the same thing as driving a bus.
“Knowing things isn’t impressive“
This is just dumb. Knowledge is power
Not arguing your point, but I proofread a marketing piece today and avoided a mistake by knowing a flag was wrong. So it does help sometimes.
Who hurt you? I don’t know anyone who brags about knowing flags.
But… It is impressive when someone knows bunches of artists, Pokemon, athletes, whatever.
The topic material itself might not interest me, but it’s still cool to see people’s passions.
It’s just trivia. So yes it’s trivial, but I find quizzes fun so why not.
i’ve never seen someone brag about knowing flags, it’s just kind of a cool little thing to know
If someone had every flag memorized I’d be pretty impressed
Especially with how many of them are just three same-colored stripes in a different order, like who can keep track of all that?
OP will hate my avatar.
There’s an argument to be made that the social cache is better for knowing flags than pokémon. If you need a reason, then that’ll be it. More people are interested in real countries than anime ones, or in football players, or albums in your favourite genre.
Personally, I wish I were better with flags and geography, as it does come up more than you’d think in my life. Unfortunately, the desire isn’t strong enough to put n the effort.
What flag made you lose in the trivia game op?
I know them all, but I don’t brag about it because it’s not all that impressive.
It is, however, helpful sometimes.
Have you ever been to sea? Or been scuba diving? Flags are still pretty relevant, friend.
>t’s no different from memorizing 200 Pokémon, 200 Soccer players, or Album covers.
This is true.
>It’s just knowing each flag from memory is useless to virtually every person so there’s no point in doing it.
This is false.
Being useful is not always the point.
My husband learnt all the flags and it’s created many wacky situations and happy memories. People do shit for fun, glad I don’t share your opinion.
That’s what the word “trivia” means, by definition. Have you considered that the same reason people know pokemon is the same reason people like flags, not because it’s impressive but because they LIKE it?!
200 soccer players ? for most poeple it stops at Tom Brady if they know him
