I’m in the military so I don’t think I’d be the one making that choice.
In fact, most adult males in the world would probably be getting conscripted under threats of prison or execution depending on their country. Good luck running and hiding!
parents house. they live in a small village far enough away from the major cities so that it wouldn’t matter. at worst our windows would get blown out if a nuke went off. sturdy steel and concrete too, big garden we grow seasonal fruits in, and the community is mostly retirees (my parents are the youngest people on the street) so no danger of civil unrest, gangs, or raiders
I did 6 years in the military putting people and cargo on planes. I’m over 40 now, so they’re not gonna call me up. If they did, it would likely be to just put people and cargo on planes again.
There’s nowhere to go… People with bomb shelters aren’t going to make it either. It’s so wrong to see these companies all over social media selling buckets of beans and rice… False hope has never been cheaper!
Id stay in the states. Even with WW3, i am not convinced it’s going to be guaranteed to be nuclear. We’d likely see a massive missile strikes back and forth but for nukes to launch you need massive loss of territory. It’d be a big game of “who can force who to stay in their borders”
Prob go to the recruiter and re enlist. Im a combat vet and have a lot of recentish experience downrange. Hopefully score an advisory role, if not prob die🤷♂️
We are inside the blast zone from Bangor. No where to run, no where to hide when you’re stuck in traffic with everyone else. I like to think I’d cook my very best meal and embrace my family.
I wouldn’t run anywhere I believe America is the most powerful country in the world next to China and that’s just because China’s got like a million man army and besides that WW3 would be a nuke war everybody’s gonna die anyway
Why hide? If it was truly as bad as people think, you wouldn’t want to stick around to see the back side of things. I mean, unless you’re some kind of pre industrial history geek that gets off on that kind of thing. I dont think most people realize how dependant society is on both industry and the global market to provide basic needs and supplies. There’d be pockets of survivors, but to what end? Existing? Nah, fuck that. I wanna go out basking in the warmth of a thousand burning suns.
Switzerland. Place is locked and loaded if someone tries to attack. Lots of fallout shelters as well. While modern warfare would probably still prevail in the end, it would be my go-to.
North Sentinel island has been “untouched” for as long as humans have existed. It is a small island but the people living there are also very welcoming and friendly and are one of the few in the world to have that level of hospitability
Nowhere. You can’t hide from it. World War 3 would mean all or most nations would be affected and (likely) would mean nuclear war. In which case, we are all fucked.
I wouldn’t hide. I’d just make myself a chocolate milk, kiss my ass goodbye, & drink the chocolate milk. Why? Because it’s about to get a little toasty in here!!!
As a Canadian I’d probably either saddle up and get involved in team pew pew, or run off into the mountains because even the military or police aint gonna find shit in the BC wilderness that don’t want to be found.
There’d be no place to hide. If hydrogen bombs are used they’re 1000 times more powerful than the atom bomb used on Japan. Use of hydrogen bombs would result in a nuclear winter.
Nuclear winter is a scenario where a large-scale nuclear war would cause widespread firestorms that inject large amounts of soot into the stratosphere.
This soot would then block a significant amount of sunlight from reaching the Earth’s surface, leading to a dramatic cooling of the planet’s climate.
The resulting cooling could cause widespread crop failure and famine, potentially leading to widespread societal collapse and even extinction of the human species.
Anyone who saw The Day After and Threads back in the day is not going to be thinking of survival. They’re going to make sure they’re vaporized as quickly and painlessly as possible. Nobody wants to survive a nuclear war.
I live close to a bunch of oil refineries. I am going to drive to one of the big parking lots by the fence closest to the action and wait for the nuke to drop on me.
I wouldn’t hide. I would insist that my grown children and their babies get on to the next flight to the country where their dad is an expat, and then cuddle my dog and cats. Kind of like the movie Melancholia.
disclose the location of my super secret hidey spot. how dare you assume i would share such vital information of my hidey spots! no i would just go under my house i have a trailer and i would just hide under it or just stay inside
No where. Its either die instantly or slowly suffer the effects of radiation poisoning, lack of food and a nuclear winter. No place will be spared in the end.
I live in Tasmania mate, as far away from all the bullshit one can get. Most of the world don’t know where it is and it is so insignificant the rest don’t care.
There’s a long concrete tunnel in a mountain highway a few miles out of town here. I’ve always thought in an apocalyptic scenario it’d make an excellent base for a small crew. Can block off the two sides, and still close enough to scavenge some towns by day
If I wasn’t already in the military, I’d be staying right here in a small town in the midwest US.
China and Russia are the only somewhat legitimate threats compared to the US, and they are not currently peer-level. Even if they were, the US has the largest armed population in the world and would be impossible to invade and hold, even if our military didn’t exist (150m gun owners > a few million Chinese conscripts). Russia has a legitimate nuclear threat but the US has the best anti missile systems in the world, many of which are not publicly known, but for reference, Israel’s famous iron dome was made by an American company and the continental US has layers of defenses that make the Iron Dome look like a toy. Even if a significant number of nukes get through that, I live deep in corn country, the nearest target-worthy city is over an hour drive away, and I have an enclosed basement. Nothing short of an alien invasion is touching the middle of the United States.
Seems far enough out of the way and not particularly important, not a ton of people, and looks to be sustainable food and water-wise. Also no air or seaport.
Either that or maybe just sail around water world style.
South america, most likely Chile. Southern hemisphere currents don’t really mix much with the northern currents so the radioactive fallout will mostly stay in the north.
Oceania is not safe because it will be a part of ww3 just like how Japan was moving in on australia and new zealand, china would do the same or whatever other superpower is in the region.
South america doesn’t really have a major military super power and isn’t really at risk.
Chile has great protection with the Andes and has good fertile soil for farming and great fish stock.
I think Chile would be a safe bet.

Iceland or New Zealand. Relatively isolated, neutral, and can survive a nuclear winter more successfully than other countries.
Probably try Canada for asylum but other countries don’t want disabled people so I’d probably just die here.
If WW3 broke out, the tsunami is probably already on its way to the NYC area.
I’d get as close to any sort of blast zone as I could, cooler , lawn chairs, sunglasses.
I might just stay here. Turned out to be a great place to be through the first two WWs. Maybe the fighting will be somewhere else again.
There won’t be a WW3!! Don’t be afraid!!
Go to a bunker.
No running, no hiding. Just going to find a spot with a great view of ground zero and enjoy the fireworks.
Probably move from Sydney to Tasmania
Wouldn’t go anywhere or do anything. Who’s gonna target New Zealand?
Colombia. I have family there

I’m cool right here.
I live three miles from a submarine base. I’m vaporized in the initial attack.

Siberian forest. Believe me
New Zealand for sure
I’m here. NZ. Might go live in the holiday house a few hours away from any major city.
I did 6 years in the military putting people and cargo on planes. I’m over 40 now, so they’re not gonna call me up. If they did, it would likely be to just put people and cargo on planes again.
There is no place to hide, and if you don’t know that, you’re not paying attention.

I’m in Canada. Plenty of places to hide.
I would not run anywhere, just sit down with my head between my legs and kiss my arse good-bye.
Grand Canyon
Front porch with some music and a fat bag of smoke.
Why ? Why not I say. I’m Not frantically running in my last days.
Just gonna take it easy and enjoy the glowing sunset.
Where in the Canadian wilderness did the girls from yellowjackets crash? I’ll go there.

I wouldn’t bother running. So fed up of trying to escape the chaos of the world. Would sadly embrace the end. 😩
I’d sit on the couch and accept my fate as an American with an evil idiotic President.
We are inside the blast zone from Bangor. No where to run, no where to hide when you’re stuck in traffic with everyone else. I like to think I’d cook my very best meal and embrace my family.
Not fighter on here lmfao
new zealand, even half the maps dont include them!
My bed, no one ever will go in there
I wouldn’t. I am 4.2 miles from a Primary nuclear target. I doubt if I would even be aware that the war had broken out I’d be dead first.
I’ll just be at home getting fucked up probably
Honestly, I would rather be under the first bomb that falls. Living in a post-apocalyptic world would be a living hell.
I wouldn’t run anywhere I believe America is the most powerful country in the world next to China and that’s just because China’s got like a million man army and besides that WW3 would be a nuke war everybody’s gonna die anyway
Doesn’t fucking matter unless you can turn into a cockroach. We had enough nuclear arms to make the Earth unlivable back in the fifties.
I’d se how they can use a 61 year old veteran and do my duty
Hide for what? We’d all be f’ed one way or another.
Why hide? If it was truly as bad as people think, you wouldn’t want to stick around to see the back side of things. Spokane. Find the Wolverines. Why?
In America, heroes aren’t raised. They’re orphaned. In our time, no foreign army has ever occupied American soil.
Switzerland. Place is locked and loaded if someone tries to attack. Lots of fallout shelters as well. While modern warfare would probably still prevail in the end, it would be my go-to.

Vault 21 – Seems like the sensible choice all disputes solved by gambling
Uruguay. I’ve been needing a reason to move there.
I’d probably stay put in the strategically unimportant area that I live in.
Ain’t gna hide but ima run to Jesus no doubt cause after hell breaks loose on this earth, ain’t nobody gna be here in the aftermath
I would try to find an open space close to a primary target.
“A millisecond of bright light, and you’re vaporized.” – Dr. Stephen Falken, “Wargames”
Nowhere. You can’t hide from it. World War 3 would mean all or most nations would be affected and (likely) would mean nuclear war. In which case, we are all fucked.
I wouldn’t. I’d immediately enlist.
Why would I tell you? That’s my cache of food and ammo buried at [coordinates].
Like the old fallout shelter poster said “Bend over put your head between your knees and kiss your ass goodbye”
I’d stay home
I live in bumfuck nowhere surrounded by rednecks with guns.
I’m safer home than anywhere else.
Stay right where I am. Fuck running
I don’t think you will be safe anywhere
I wouldn’t hide. I’d just make myself a chocolate milk, kiss my ass goodbye, & drink the chocolate milk. Why? Because it’s about to get a little toasty in here!!!
I live in the USA which is no longer in place as 1 or 2.
So I guess grab the popcorn and write to reps to support one side.
Country like Uruguay, Thailand, Ghana… stable-ish and off-radar
Russia probably. Might as well survive it.
I’d be looking for Red Hats.
Lowell, Massachusetts
I’d get myself some guns and take out whoever was attacking us until I got taken out or we won 😊 but I don’t think anyone would win another world war.
As a Canadian I’d probably either saddle up and get involved in team pew pew, or run off into the mountains because even the military or police aint gonna find shit in the BC wilderness that don’t want to be found.
I’d go set up shelter in one of the many limestone cave warehouses in the Kansas City area.
There’d be no place to hide. If hydrogen bombs are used they’re 1000 times more powerful than the atom bomb used on Japan. Use of hydrogen bombs would result in a nuclear winter.

Buy more ammo 🤷♂️

Between China and North Korea? I’d go to Canada 🇨🇦
Gulf Of Mexico 🙂
I think we’ll be far enough away here in Argentina.
South America is usually safe
I wouldn’t hide. I would insist that my grown children and their babies get on to the next flight to the country where their dad is an expat, and then cuddle my dog and cats. Kind of like the movie Melancholia.
disclose the location of my super secret hidey spot. how dare you assume i would share such vital information of my hidey spots! no i would just go under my house i have a trailer and i would just hide under it or just stay inside
I’m 60 miles from DC . I’m smoking weed on my porch till I hear the freight train comin 🤙🏼
Fill up the bath tub, light up some candles, turn on sounds of nature, grab a spoon and a gallon of my favorite ice cream, and OD on insulin.
I would put on my bathing suit, get out a lawn chair, grab a beer and get a wonderful tan.
I’m not sure either President Bush.
Just start walking in the direction of one the closest most beautiful clouded mushrooms the world has ever seen.
I live 13 miles from a nuclear base, so I’ll just be thankful to not see the after math
I live in the middle of a city not far from a major air force base. I have a feeling I’ll be dust before I get the notice there is a draft… or a war.
Tasmania. It’s far enough away from major nuclear targets and the prevailing winds direct any nuclear blast nearby away from the island.
I would just stay here in South America. The great powers have a tendency to forget about us in those moments.
No where. Its either die instantly or slowly suffer the effects of radiation poisoning, lack of food and a nuclear winter. No place will be spared in the end.
We (U.S) have close friends in Scotland who own several homes and we have an open invitation to come whenever and for however long we want.
I’d sip sake on a Suzuki in Osaka Bay.
I think I would pray to get caught up in the blast and not have to deal with living real life fall out
I will not have time for anything, I would be dead. I live in Florida.
“asking for a friend”
Prolly just stay home–I am surrounded by high value nuclear targets.
There’s no safe place on the surface in that scenario
I would just go about my life. I live in New England in sure we’re an early nuclear target
I would drive to Las Vegas for girls and blow.
I’m going to grab a pint at the Winchester and wait for things to blow over.
I live in Tasmania mate, as far away from all the bullshit one can get. Most of the world don’t know where it is and it is so insignificant the rest don’t care.

Doesn’t matter, it’ll be over in less than an hour. The ones in the blast zones are the lucky ones
I wouldn’t run and hide. I’d ask my country how I can serve, even at 64. USA 👊🔥🇺🇸
I wouldn’t.
If I wasn’t already in the military, I’d be staying right here in a small town in the midwest US.

Mojave desert
Maybe Pitcairn Islands?

Either that or maybe just sail around water world style.
Mayo Largo to golf with Trump
Well this is getting depressing! But my move would get on my sailboat and head to Antarctica.
Home.
If I learned something from COVID, it is that whatever it comes, when it happens, I want to be with the people I love.
guys that isn’t funny!!!!!!

There is no running… There is no hiding…
Just realize that the moment it starts the government will turn its guns on you to ensure you fight to protect them.
I’m gonna steal a bottle of whiskey and sit on my car hood.
I wouldn’t want to survive, screw living in a barren wasteland fighting for everything. So I’m running to where the bombs are dropping!
