Even if that is not the case, why are liberals okay with someone being punished and their potential livelihood (in most parts of the country, you need a vehicle of some kind to get to and from work) being affected for owning a vehicle manufactured by someone praised by liberals less than 5 years ago and now despised by them?

I’m personally ok with defacing dealerships, but not individual’s cars. On top of that, not everybody is terminally online to the point where they know the real Musk or that he even owns Tesla.

Nope, definitely thought Elon was a liar and douchebag since 2018 or so. Setting aside his constant over-promises and under-delivers (how long has Tesla been a year away from full autonomy now?), how can you watch him call people pedophiles and blatantly manipulate the stock market and not think he’s a horrible person?
I think I probably speak for most liberals in saying that we’re not. The people destroying them may be anarchists, radical left or agents provocateurs, who knows? I doubt many mainstream liberals would support damaging the property of people who just happened to buy the wrong car. Even attacking dealerships is bad from an environmental and public safety point of view. There have been some excellent guerrilla advertising campaigns that have done the same job without damaging property.
Property has been vandalized every single day of my life. Why do you expect me to give extra shits about Tesla owners? Aside from that, I made a decision not to buy a car branded by a notorious charlatan because I’m not an idiot. I wasn’t praising Elon 5 years ago and I don’t give two shits who other liberals praise. Any liberals in this thread who were praising Elon five years ago were idiots back then, too, and were probably defending this sack of shit who would gladly step on their broken spines to reach their goals when people tried to tell them Elon was a giant sack of bull poo.
