I’m looking for name and artist of a country/Texas country song from maybe the mid-90s. I can’t remember the tune well enough to hum, but the premise was a story from the perspective of a blind man, who was part of a bank robbery crew, and was on a train. He was a long for the ride, or something to that effect.

I’ve done a number of Google searches and I keep coming up blank. I graduated in 01, and this song was on a mix CD a friend gave me when we left for college. I’ve lost the CD, but the song surfaces in my memory every so often and it drives me crazy I can’t find it.
Blind man, bank heist, train….I can almost hear the chorus, “I was just along for the ride”….but I’m not positive that’s right.
