Obviously I don’t mean binge drinking but I don’t agree that 100% zero alcohol is the best lifestyle either. Alcohol can help loosen up people and be a source of stress relief, but the issue is that virtually nobody knows how to control their drinking. So that’s why so many people say 100% zero alcohol is the only way.
If people knew how to have half a glass of wine with dinner or during socializing, that’s the optimal situation.
In some Asian cultures, beer is served in tiny glass (around 150-200ml) and a 750ml bottle is shared between several people.
Yes I totally acknowledge it’s difficult to drink just 150ml of beer and it’s human nature to want to drink more when we feel relaxed and happy on alcohol. But only if we as a species can learn how to control it better, I think having the tiniest amount of alcohol occasionally is actually beneficial to socializing and just loosening up in general.

The best lifestyle is however you decide is best for you. This isn’t it.
You’re saying that drinking is fine in moderation, which is the popular opinion.
OP this just sounds like you are surrounded by alcoholics.
It isnt difficult for people to just have a little bit of beer. It isnt difficult to not get drunk when you drink a little. It is a conscious choice to do both.
I miss absolutely nothing by not drinking alcohol. I have a perfectly fine time socialising and have much healthier ways of coping with stress.
