It would hurt different countries to varying degrees, Mexico would be screwed. Brazil and Argentina would actually lose an agricultural competitor and come out on top.
the US represents a quarter fo the world’s GDP, it’s gonna hit hard everywhere if they collapse, the services industries first and foremost, but a lot of manufacturing too
Very similarly to how the collapse of the Soviet Union affected East Europe: our countries would look for new leadership in Europe or China, and maybe we would receive an influx of hispanic americans going back to the country of origin of their families.
But I must say that a USSR style “collapse” of the US is highly unlikely. If they were to lose its status as a superpower, it would be more likely that they would have a slow decay in world prominence, like the UK.
It’d be great for us. It would help convince the EU Council to finally approve the deal with MERCOSUR. Once the FTA kicks in and the Hilton quota is scrapped, it would give a huge boost to the Uruguayan meat industry.

Idk but our population is aging, everyone is welcome as long as they are young decent members of society.
No longer in the 60’s so probably we will be fine. Since most countries have China as the largest either costumer or investor.
Countries like Perú and Chile no only trade with the USA or China, but also with other groups in Asia, Oceania and the European Union.
So, the US can go and FineThemselves.
We probably raplace the US with China as our main commercial ally. I mean, Trump is already making sure that happens.

our economies depend on their consumerism, for they are too intertwined and are basically designed that way… that’s globalism for you…

Latam can buy from China, the question is: is China gonna buy from Latam?
Honduras will probably look at China’s leadership now that we were able to work many deals.

The DR would be fucked because of the millions of tourists that would stop coming here.
Never bet against the US.
Let’s see.
