I have a full tattoo sleeve on my arm but was looking into joining the state police. I was reading up on their tattoo policy but also saw a facebook post from last year of a man with two full sleeves. Also heard from a friend of a friend that someone in his academy had to get his tattoo removed before academy.
None of my tattoos can be seen while wearing a suit and are completely covered.

Nysp changed their tattoo policy and allows sleeves. Nothing can be visible on your hands, face, or neck. You’ll also wear these ridiculous looking spandex sleeves during the months the uniform of the day is short sleeves. They can’t be offensive.
