I would be an author. I could dedicate every single hour a day to my book, inventing new characters, planning new plots and designing book covers. What would you do?

Farmer
I’d be a librarian. I was one for 20 years. I looked at teacher’s salaries and drooled. Such shit pay, such a wonderful job.
Math tutor and picking up trash in National Parks.
Street Artists: If I had the money and skills. I would paint over public ads all nigjt.
Providing skill didn’t matter as well I’d be a race car driver of some description. F1 or GT3
landscape photographer
I’d be a Veterinarian for sure
no “job” so to speak, but infinite projects and hobbies. restoring old cars and boats, building and riding bikes, writing music and stories, learning instruments etc.
My favorite response to the question “whats your dream job” is “who dreams about work”. not my words but it resonates with me
Same job I currently have.
Any job that I get paid to read or research. I love reading…but I also absolutely love taking notes and copying information into notebooks.
And mythology.
So I don’t know maybe I’d go to school for years and years and then teach folklore part time or something so I could spend the rest of my time reading
I wish I could just sit alone and think all day or do logic puzzles and listen to records.
I would also be an author. But not a prolific one. I would take my time and otherwise live a leisurely life.
record random music clips
Caretaker of Cat Island
I’d get paid building homes for the homeless and also writing epic fantasy novels.
I dont think there is one thing i would do if money wasnt an issue.
I enjoy sex, snowboarding, scuba diving, traveling, bouldering, problem solving, dancing ,singing, playing guitar / drums, MMA, designing, DIYing , cinema, philosophy and so many other things that I would just devote my time to all the things I love to do!
I would chill at the house and raise my kids and do nothing.
Man, I’d travel to new cities and learn their culture, and also write about it. I especially want to visit Japan and learn how to swordfight and so on.
I’m retired but my dream is to buy a trailer and enter bbq competitions all over the country
I would have a used bookstore where we served tea and coffee and where I could bake and give away cake.
Wildlife rehabber and live in the forrest away from humans. Side property for pet rescue as well. Okay, maybe a cool staff for poo scooping help.
I want to work in a shop selling video games, Warhammer, magic cards, stuff like that. Every time I go and visit my local shop I feel so at home, they are my people.
I’d open a tea shop with a large outdoor area that I’d fill with cats. Then I’d roam around smoking a pipe & rambling about the benefits of different blends like a quirky old wizard.
None.
Music producer and/or run a self improvement page
I would work at a library
A florist. I absolutely love gardening and flowers but $12 an hour ain’t gonna cut it.
No job, probably? Maybe working in a chemistry lab. I’d go to college and get all the “useless” degrees. I’d mostly just wanna clean random things lol
edit: piano cleaning/restoration
If money were no object, I’d probably work at a legal psychedelic retreat somewhere in the world or run one myself. Either that, or be a writer or martial arts instructor.
I would be a Science Museum director~ I wanna spread interest in science and engineering, so I would pump MILLIONS into it~
Bar tender. My buddy owns a college bar in the city that we grew up in with his father and he had me working there right when we found out my wife and I were expecting our son. I loved it and had fun. I wouldn’t want to work those hours now that I’m a father and I already have a full time job
The same one I have, since the pay isn’t the best anyway lol I do just love the work, so I’d be fine with it
I have so many interests
Gardener. But… In my own epic secret garden because money doesn’t matter.
Probably computer research. I would love to contribute to creating an AGI
If money was not a factor then probably I would have studied astronomy and pursued it to become some scientist or even an astronaut. And I would have become one for sure, yes that is too much to say, but I knew my life was among the stars up somewhere.
And if you ask about today, I would love to be a photographer – wild life, nature and emotions would have been my area of work.
The one I have. I absolutely love it. Only part I don’t like is being shocked by static every couple minutes when I am in the office. I am an artist, musician, electrician, blacksmith, engineer, architect kind of, and craftsman. I get to use all my skills making stuff so I am probably married to my job. No wonder I am single.
A genealogist.
Storm chaser
Soccer Manager. Dream job ❤️
I would pursue a wide variety of interests. Mostly writing, outdoor expeditions, and travel.
Whatever the job is that lets you drive trucks on railroad tracks.
I wouldn’t have a regular job. I would do volunteer work and take long breaks when I need it.
I would be a professional spender of wealth and happiness.
I’d still work my current job honestly because I love it, and my coworkers. I can’t really think of anything else I’d rather do.
Maybe quit working entirely and just devote my time to volunteer work.
A yoga or Pilates instructor on a tropical beach somewhere
School Teacher
I do not derive pleasure or enjoyment from labor. I work solely because money is required to obtain food, clothing and shelter.
Service/volunteer work. I help out with local non-profits as much as my time allows, and help elderly neighbors with yard work when I can, but I wish I could do more.
Freelance writer. I was good at it but loved it but the pay was so subpar
Would give anything to get paid like, six figures to write for a living though
I would be one of those people raising funds for nonprofits I believe in.
Over a dozen years ago, I volunteered for my local district attorney’s office. I entered cased dispositions into certain databases, as well as did database research for pretty much anybody in the office that needed.
I absolutely loved what I did. I didn’t have anyone hovering over me, and the only time I was interrupted was when someone had an inquiry. Also, the area of the office where I worked was accessible (wheelchair user), and the few other people in that area were fantastic to work with.
Dog mom
Nothing
Funny to assume I would be working to begin with lol
I know for a fact I would be travelling
Same thing I did have a job doing: Social Worker. I just can’t imagine doing anything else. I get the same feeling that a surgeon feels after a successful surgery or a race car driver feels after winning a race. It’s what I was meant to do. Pay sucked, but seven years after retiring, I’m still volunteering my time to help others with the knowledge I gained in my 25 year career.
Food Delivery
I’d open a spa to help people in need de-stress.
The one I have now. Semi-Professionally unemployed.
Astrophysicist
The same one.
I think I would be a very part time death and labor doula. The rest would be hobbies or personal devotions.
Foley Artist, definitely.
Urban planner/writer. Although that’s kinda what I’m planning to do anyway lol.
I would go to southeast/ South Asia and just clean the rivers over there. I would also love to be an author like Anthony Bourdain and write about all the reasons those rivers are so dirty
Clothing designer and seamstress. I’d love to be able to make my own clothes and clothes that are missing from the market. There’s a huge gap in the market, especially in women’s design and clothing or clothes that focus on utility, function and comfort that isn’t feminine but gender neutral, but still cool and edgy, without being incredibly alternative.
I’d love to be like a therapist or a counselor or something. Just someone for people to talk to and help them work through stuff. I remember in middle school I had some middle school drama and went crying to the counselor who was super dismissive. Now I understand that she probably had a ton of stuff on her plate and my friend saying something mean about me was not a big deal in the grand scheme of things, but teenage me felt unheard and like no one cared.
But I dropped out of college in 2011 and don’t have the means to go back. Maybe one day.
I’d be a scholar. Go to different countries study different things. Would also try screenwriting on the side.
I like my job. I would like to work less and write more. I can write now but I’m soooo blocked!!
I think I would try to start a cooking YouTube channel or Twitch stream. It sounds like fun especially if money wasn’t a worry.
Full time friend at an old folks home
I’d work as a ski patrol person who doesn’t actually patrol anything besides get baked and ski all day and then in the summer I would take a similar position at the beach in the surfing department

Musician, just playing uke all day long
Wildlife/nature photographer. I’d love to be able to just travel and take pictures of pretty things
Something with animals.
Running an animal sanctuary
Unclogging storm drains for the rainy season. I do it for fun sometimes with any big stick I can find. People thank me but I don’t need that, it’s just so satisfying watching the pooled water drain away
I would like to be a photographer.
I would have to learn a lot but I would be a cut flower farmer
I’d love to be able to garden full time and harvest medicinal herbs to make plant medicine then give it out to people in need. This is already something I love to do, but if I could travel to different communities and share plants and offer free nutrition consultations it would be amazing. If I could do this full time I would but I gotta pay bills so working a not-so-fufilling job is kinda where I’m at lol
Honestly, the best job I’ve had was at a video store.
It’s too bad they don’t really exist anymore. I’d work at one again in a heart beat.
A plant scientist
Teaching kids. Literally any subject, but mostly applied critical thinking. Every teacher i’ve known has said to run far far away from the profession (mostly due to compensation vs hours) and if i was independently wealthy i’d for sure teach.
Doesn’t sound like much writing is getting done on your ‘book’.
Money doesn’t really matter. I didn’t choose my current job based on money (altgoufh it dies oay quite well). I chose it because it’s the ideal job for me.
Gardener/ dog walker
I would be taking care of special needs animals. I mean, I do that anyway, but I could really devote my time and energy towards it if money didn’t matter. I don’t want to call that a ‘job’ though, more like my calling.
I would be a veterinarian! It’s hard to make money as one, unless you own the practice or know someone.
I would love to be a Librarian or work at a video game store
I was on a hike in Vermont and this young man was cooking up lunch on the top of a mountain. We got to talking and he said his internship job was to spend the summer hiking the trail network and living in the shelters on the trail. He would make sure the tails were passable and clean. I would like that job.
musician for sure
If money didn’t matter, I wouldn’t have a job. I’d paint, I’d research the stars, id sit on the beach, make smoothies, bake, have fun. There’s things I like to do and none of them I really need to make money for. Sure, selling my paintings would be cool, and getting paid to do research would be nice, but I’d never want to be held down by a need for money to do those things.
Scuba dive instructor in the winter and kayak guide in the summer.
Landscaper
I would own a bakery or maybe be a boudoir photographer better get someone who gets paid to travel
Surgeon or anesthesiologist.

If money doesn’t matter, I’m not working babes✨
A head butler for a super wealthy family.
Work with animals or plants, little to no human contact preferred. 😂
Food truck with my husband
I would also be a writer, and I would use my money to have experiences that could help shape my writing
