I can remember using a squishy off-white rectangle with ridges on the top to turn lights on and off. We mostly used it at Christmas for the tree. It made a quiet sound as air was passed through it when squeezed, not an obvious click. I think there was a small black piece of plastic at the middle of one end of the rectangle. I’m assuming there was some sort of receiver plugged into the outlet, then the lights were plugged into the receiver. The brand was possibly Noma, but I might be throwing myself off with that. We used it in the 90s but I’m thinking it was older than that. My brother and I racking our brains but can’t figure it out and I don’t think my dad would appreciate me calling at 1 AM trying to describe this lol I FEEL INSANE

I remember us thinking this thing was absolutely magical for not needing batteries, but perhaps my brother and I have the lamest case of folie à deux
